Analysis
Banana pudding is a desert that is brought to every family function. The reason is because it is a nice sweet dish that hits home after eating a delicious plate of (What my family calls) soulfood. 95% of the banana pudding is processed due to the fact that everything except the banana’s are processed.
This dish is apoxietmently 1070 calories which is a lot but that’s only the case if you decide to eat the whole thing by your self. There is a lot of artificial flavors in this dish with the cookies, and pudding mix and cool whip. There is also a lot of fat too. The way your body will deal with this is ideally you will find yourself using the bathroom to let it all run through your system or you will find your stuff very gassy with a lot of “Silent killers.” Yes this dish is a dish a health freak would definitely stay away from because of all the fat and calories and sugars but it’s a nice sweet dish that happens to not be healthy for you.
My food was definitely commercially grown. Well it was made through a factory. Factories are not the best for our environment due to all the wasted electricity and how it affects our ozone layer. Honestly I do not know where my ingredients came from but I will have to say the midwest because that is what comes to mind when I think of dairy products, and pudding. Which is strange because banana pudding is more of a southern dish.
The great thing about banana pudding is that it is not that expensive, it cost me roughly $15.00 to make this dish. Now usually if I was being lazy I would grab a half decent banana pudding from the chinese store which cost only $1.00 but the saying goes “you get what you pay for.” So comparing the Chinese store with my banana pudding you can tell there is a complete different to how it is made and the effort that is put into it. Chinese store banana pudding is only good when you’re hungry and you need something fast to hold you over for a couple of hours. Where my banana pudding is good all the time hungry or not hungry my banana pudding satisfies the stomach.
Reflection
I honestly learned very little due to the fact that my class schedule always seemed to fall on a day we did not have school or a day that I had an appointment or could not be in school. Which sucks because I wanted to learn about the pros and cons when reading ingredients on the back of box. But I did learn our sugar prices is going up. I have also learned of a western diet and why it is bad for you
My Role larger food system is that I don’t waste food. So I pretty much am one of the people environmentalist and socialist (I think) don’t scold because of how much wasted food goes on in the U.S. Also due to my diet change about 7 months ago I only eat fish as meat since I have low iron and refuse to take iron pills. So another role is that I do not eat the chickens nor support how they are taken care even though I was just a recent support of eating chicken and not asking questions on how they are taken care of.
The biggest problem with our food system and the way our food is made. Companies want to add unnecessary stuff to our foods to make it bigger but it ends up harming us which is not okay. Also the fact that junk food is cheap and healthy food is expensive. We have people wanting us to eat more healthier but we can’t when it cost $7 to get a meal at McDonalds and $17 just to get half a meal at lets say Fresh Grocer.
My Next step to a healthier diet will be drinking only water. and eating less junk food. The reason is because I want to start losing weight for prom. Nothing major just 10 pounds be a solid 140 which I think is a nice size for myself. Exercise and no more banana pudding will help me get closer to my goal.
Through this unit I have learned it is best to eat healthier. I also have stores in my neighborhood that helps with that. I should start to use that to my advantage. Thank you Mr. Best for an awesome semester

Imani Rothwell Process Paper for Teen Drug Abuse
For our 3rd quarter Benchmark I must admit this was a challenging benchmark because I did not like doing this project as much as others. The reason is because it was so broad on what you can do and should do. Which is strange because I usually like having a broad project but this project I felt we needed more guidelines. But even with these feeling that did not stop me from doing a great job with my parts and helping my group with their parts with this project.
One thing I did was our ad which is "Got Drugs" and the O is replaced with an ecstasy pill while the U is replaced with a marijuana leaf. The reason for this is because I thought an ad like this would pop out to teens making them want to know more about this ad and why does it look like this. I thought of it as like a trap to lure teens into reading more on what we are trying to accomplish with the teen drug abuse.
With that I made a twitter and facebook page because social networks is another key to helping making people more aware of the dangerous with teen drug abuse. Our twitter is currently 7 followers strong within the first couple of hours in making the page. Also our facebook likes is not as high but that is understandable because I know most teens are more active on twitter rather than facebook. For my group I thought that having a website will help show how serious we are about stopping teens for using/abusing drugs. I made a website which is www.whogotdrugs.webs.com. I am not as skillful like others with website but currently our website gives the basic of our idea which we will continue to build on and hopefully we will have our own domain with a successful website. Due to finances we could not make it as a social network site where people can interact and help one another, but in the near future this would be something I would definitely like to explore.
Creating our ad, twitter, facebook, and website was something I most definitely succeed in. I like social network sites and making websites so it was cool to put something I like into a project that my heart was not completely in. This caused me a little of a challenge jumping into working on the project. Because I did not really like the project I was distracted and pushed this project back until I realized that I can’t make myself like the project, but I can put something I like to help me complete the project. Therefore overall I think once I got into the project and into doing it I did a very good job. Our Ad is catchy, our twitter for a new account is strong on followers, our facebook page slowly by shortly is succeeding, and our website is very cool in my opinion. I am really proud of the work that I put into this project. I am also impressed at the outcome because at first this was not looking like a good project, but now it is excellent.

I came up with my design by simplify going with the flow of what my artsy fingers wanted me too. I figured why not use blue for tears and throw an odd future cross on there. Make the lips red for lip stick.
At first I needed someone to do my mask for me. I have sensitive skin so plastering my face was a no no, and plush I did not want that stuff in my hair. When my friend Serena said she will do it for me. I than began to cut up pieces of the clay while Serena Vaseline her face. Once that was done I put a straw in Serena mouth and began to dip pieces of the clay in the water and then on Serena face. I made sure I did Serena nose last so she will not have to go a long time breathing through a straw. Once the clay harden I carefully removed the clay structure off Serena face and place it on the table. I had to wait a few days to design because we had art class Monday and I did my skull on a Wednesday. Once monday came I began to paint the face. It took some time to get the paint because I did not know what color, after that I just told myself not to think so hard and follow the art. The art gave me the colors black, yellow, red, and blue. Next I began to paint. I had my headphones in listing to Biggie smalls. While Jamming to Biggie I just started to paint. While painting Serena said that this reminds her of the joker. I laughed and said it does... then continue to paint off of that idea. At the end I came up with this skull.
Reflection
The most obvious part of explaining my data would have to be that around my time period is war and government issues. In the 1950's World War Two just ended our money was up and there was job opportunities. My time period was after the wars and depression and women rights.
When looking at the trend I can see the immigration rate going down. Technology is advancing which I can see they having a car human detector to detector if anyone is hiding. I can also see other places government changing making it better for their people which will make them want to stay rather then leave.
My group decided that we do not want to be standing and giving a boring presentation with reading so we gave summaries on the powerpoint then explain in greater detail so our audience will not be bored. We figured that the excel will be to confusing and a long powerpoint will be boring. Dealing with teenagers they prefer a quick visual powerpoint.
The most challenging part was one of my group member was slacking so we did not have an accurate idea on how good we were with our presentation. Its frustrating when a group member lie about the information and you have no idea rather or not your group is passing of failing because of the slack. Especially when they spend work period on other things besides their work.
If I had to do this project over I would add pictures and be more creative with my presentation. I feel that the information is dry and my audience will be sitting there half way listing because the information was not delivered right.
Humanities Project 2012
This has been a very interesting year with Mr.Block. I have learned a lot from him. Mr. Block’s class was set up in a different structure then most classes. His ideal of best learning is to watch videos, do paper essays, read, and do hands on activities. Strangely his idea is right and works. Through this year with him being our English and history teacher Mr. Block has taught us some important things. Which makes me grateful to have had him as a teacher.
One thing I learned is “The way to show you have power is to speak.” That is important because most people have the most life changing things to say, but they never be heard because they do not say what they have to say. Our poetry unit was the best one. Mr. Block had us writing something different that I found to be great. The Ode poem was really good because writing about an object is hard. That was one of my challenging poems that I had accomplished. My favorite lines from that poem is “having their necks bob to the ridiculous sound they consider a compliment But Incompetent To realize Originality is Self confidence" Another challenging poem was I was raised by poem. It was hard writing about my mom because she is so great and I wanted to put that all in one poem. Cutting it down was hard but I eventually got it. One of my best lines I would have to say would be "God do not make life to waste it." When we had to perform our poem a few people told me that this line had them thinking more about themselves and their lives. I was surprised because I never really paid any attention to that line. It was not my favorite until I read it and some bought it to my attention. That is when I realized how powerful that line is. Also in my English Journal entry 31 when we had to write a rant about something we feel strongly about. When I wrote this entry part of my rant came from seeing people blame other people for their mistakes or their miserable lives. A line from my rant was “The black people are so ignorant they keep blaming the system, shut up get educated and be the system.” I understand that is harder on the black race due to the inequality and messed up justice system, but come on you have to take care yourself before you can blame someone else. I feel like if I read this to some of the people in my neighborhood they would get up and do something or at least think about it, sometimes it’s the thought that counts. Poetry is one of the most powerful ways to get a point across. Poetry is like rap and people like listening to cleaver word play. Once you put words together that makes a person always remember is great.
Another thing I have learned from Mr. Block
is “When you convince yourself you’re
not creative then you block out all your creativity. Once you try and attempt
to be creative you discover something new about yourself.” When we did our
playwright unit I did not think I could do it. I never thought of myself being
good with stories. Once I tried I must say I did succeed. A line from my play
that I really loved was “I've been waltzing with the devil too long.” When we
read it as a group people really loved this first line. A classmate of mine
came up to me a few times saying this line teasing me. Also when we had to see
who would be picked to do perform a scene from their play for the school. I was
shocked that my scene seven of my play was picked. I knew I had a chance but I
did not have confidence in myself that my play was that great. Once I seen that
it was I discovered that writing this play was fun and I would love to write
another one. There was so much creativity in getting us up to this. When we did
the workshop at the armory was the best one. We were jumping off trucks and
steps. Using the environment to create different scenes was so amazing. For
this I learned that I like dancing the way Ms. Lea taught us.
Another thing we did was the Art in the Open
unit. This is a weird unit that I cannot really say what it is because I do not
know what it is. I know it was some sort of interpret dance mixed with feelings
and a bunch of other weird things. This is was one of my favorite units. At
first I was not thrilled because I cannot dance. Then when I saw what it was we
were doing I was excited. My group we did our dance based on hide and seek. I
think we had the best performance. Something I learned about myself during our
performance is that I am a good stepper. I never knew that I was good at making
a musical beat with my body. Once I applied myself this is when I discovered
that.
Overall
Mr. Block is a great teacher. He has taught me so much through this year. He
was an amazing teacher and I am glad that I had the chance to learn so much
through the year.
Here are the links to my poetry and play. Also A picture of me during my performance at the art in open show.

The idea behind this project is to show a different language we use and how use. To get us in that mind set my teacher Mr.Block has showed us different languages and had us read multiple essay's on different people stories and how different their language are. I will have to say the easy part of this project was the topic and choosing a language that is different. The hard part was the writing and trying to tie all my ideas into one paper. Overall this assignment was fun and I felt it was a great way to think about how we are different with our voices.
PAPER
Poetry is a language that I has been passed down in my family. My great great great grandmother Leana wrote poetry, my grandmother Mildred also wrote poetry, and my mom writes poetry. As I got older I started developing a feel for poetry. It wasn’t until the sixth grade when I wrote my first poem. In my middle school we did something called dream flag. We had to write a poem about a dream or desire and paste it to a cloth and hang it like a flag. This project was the start of me discovering my talent. It was like I entered a whole new world of writing. The whole idea of me being able to use my imagination and write on it made me fall in love with poetry. I went from writing poetry to sharing it with different people. There was this time in eighth grade where my teacher announced that we were going to have a Slam at the end of our poetry unit. This part was new to me so I raised my hand and said “Mr.Crain what is a slam.” he replied and said “ A slam is where a person or group perform a poem and get scored. The person or group with the most points win.” This was something new for me. I never had to share my poem in front of a group of people before let alone be scored on my poem. This made me nervous. I’m a very confident person and speaker but for some strange reason performing a poem brings out a shy side of me that I’m not use to seeing.
When my grade had our Slam I was sweating bullets. The only thing on my mind was do not mess up do not make a fool of yourself. Once my turn came up I did exactly that. I messed up on my poem and left the hard copy of my poem up stairs. So I had to wait and go again, but the second time I nailed it. I was a little nervous but I still did good because I came in second place. Hearing that made me want to keep writing and performing. and my teacher made us have a grade open mic share. I wanted to master this craft and keep on building. High school was the place that helped me with that. My high school have a poetry team that I joined. The poetry team is amazing too. There is diffrent people with diffrent styles that made their poem unique. Mr. Kay our mentor and coach was a deceptive. He loved paint pictures in people head and have them really understand the magic behind his pen. Then there was Eryn she had a flow and rhythm to her poems that always got you leaning and keeping up with what she was saying. Next Gina and Mecca they always made sure that their writing had a point across. The way they made that point the will connect it with what people can relate to. Then there was Sina I She had a mixture of them. She had painted pictures, had you want to hear more and connected with the audience. From these different styles I picked up on a lot. I also learned that my style is different. I like to get to the point. I’m good at not over extending a metaphor in a way that’s good but in another way there a something that need to have that extra description to give it more life. I started working on that to perform my first poem in highschool. It was October 15th I was in 9th grade. There was a poetry slam going on at a place called tha Ratonda. I had made the decision to do open mic because I did not want to be scored on my poem. The stage lights was only on you and you really couldn’t see in the audience. The Mic was set center stage and the host Greg Corbin would announce people names. It was that very moment when He said “Now up to the stage Imani Rothwell reading her poem P.O.W” That was the moment that I felt like dying. I never read in front of strangers. Then my grandmom and dad was in the audience that added extra stress. So I walked slowly towards the stage with a million thought running through my head. My first thought was run Imani your always getting yourself into something. Then My next thought was stupid what made you think you could do this. Next thing I know I was at the stage standing there. Looking for a point I can stare at to comfort myself so I won’t mess up. Then I started my first line of my poem,
“In my head I have on this orange cotton jump suit
With the words P.O.W written across it
I’m a Prisoner of Words
Waiting for my thought to be said
But instead they are locked away in my lonely head
I should start to speak and stop staying silent
But every time I do my words stay quiet” I was loud reading this poem and after looking k at the video I was so nervous that I was not even standing near the Mic. After looking back on it I realized I gained more confidence but in order to gain more I will have to start reading performing often. I would perform for my family
A couple of months went by and I started to change the topics I write on. I would right on drug dealing and the streets. So I put myself in a character that is going through a tuff time and just needs God. I called that poem “Calling God” This poem I took it straight from the heart. I did not right for some points or for a praise. I wrote it because at that time I was feeling upset and I need my pen a paper to play my therapist. In poetry club I told Mr.Kay that I wanted to share a poem. He said to me “Alright well lets get the group in a circle.” They he told the group we going to start open share with me. Before reading the poem I explained that this is a personal piece and I really do not want feedback then I began my poem,
“Today I called god
But he forwarded my call to voicemail
So I left him a message in prayer
He hasn’t returned my call since
So I sent him a text message
Giving him my prayer
I started off in the name of Jesus Christ
But he never replied
Now I need the address
To talk to my heavenly father
To let out all my sorrows.”
That was the beginning but these next lines are my favorite lines in this poem that I’m proud of are, “I smile ear to ear So my cheeks can choke back my tears and I laughSo my laughter can smother my crying” and
“I need to speak to my father
But he is not answering.
Does anyone have his number?
Can someone give me an address?
I asked my preacher and he says he has no answers I
looked through the bible
But I see no number
I need to speak to my father
He is the only one that listens”
During the slam I scored an average of 9 out of 10 from 4 different judges.
During these different experiences I wanted to aim bigger and I did just that.May 5th 2011I shared a poem in front of Erin Gruewell the teacher of the freedom writers. While she was talking to us she started talking about a student of hers that came to school on the first day on house arrest. This reminded me of my poem I wrote that had to do with a teen who was arrested but I decide to put a spin on it and make them innocent. I thought that I could share this with the group so I got up from my seat and went over to Mr.Kay and asked him was it ok. He said sure and before I knew It I was performing my poem. The name of it was “Have you ever.” Before I started reading it I looked down at my laptop back up to the audience licked my lips and I began
“Have you ever had your innocents taking away from you
Your child hood scrapped up like gum
And you were holding on to the rest that was left
Pride dangling on your tongue
Because you’re to strong to swallow it
People constantly looking
Becoming objects in your rear view mirror
As they appear closer on your secrets
Stressing Can never get any rest
Because of those flashbacks
Have you ever Locked your secrets in titanium plates
Making sure they never escapeHave you ever felt like your tear duct was glued?
Cause tears wasn’t flowing through
And you just wanted to cry.” The ending lines were,
“Have you ever Wanted a MRI scan for your brain
Just to make sure your Optical lobe was working
Cause you just looked at your life
And said
Dang.
Have you ever had your innocents taking away from you
Your child hood scrapped up like gum
And you were holding on to the rest that was left
Pride dangling on your tongue
Because you’re to strong to swallow it
Erin Gruwell loved my poem. She loved it so much that she wants to publish it on her website and even wanted to take a picture with me.
From these different experiences have encountered in my life I realized two things. One poetry has been a gift god gave me and Two poetry can save lives. Now when anyone ask me what’s a language I speak that’s different, I tell them poetry because the craft and putting words together to describe something in a new way that people can understand, My name is Imani Rothwell and at a young age I discovered a new language called Poetry.

(Martin Luther King type of Voice) Hello my beautiful Native People. Lately I have been
hearing people talk about stopping the Keystone pipeline project, but I do not
see anyone taking any action. I Nadie (Na-D) Mahal (Ma-Hall) have a vision.
That one-day these business men and our Government would stop looking at our
land as profit but rather embrace it and love it just as much as we do. Then
our native people would join hands with the Americans and be one big happy
family, as we love our mother nature. This project reminded me of what back in
the day. (switch to more anger tone) When
The Europeans came too take over our land and claim it as theirs. They bought
their disease, pushed us out the way as if that wasn’t our home, and now in
this present day they want to destroy our land. Now I’m mad. (Have A Serious Tone) In my hand I hold an article on the
Keystone XL pipeline project. The pipeline would be transporting pollution
from the tar sands of Canada to the United States by carrying 800,000 barrels
per day of thick, corrosive, toxic, oil for refining in Texas and the Gulf
States. What these money hungry people fail to realize is that if it is
approved we will have to then pollute our fresh water. We need to put a stop to this. I
understand that there are jobs for thousands of people to have in regards to
this project but what about our earth. We should be protecting it not selling
its nature for less expensive energy. We need to rise and fight, if that mean
protesting in front of the white house 24/7 that is what we will do. I don’t
care if I have to go to prison for this protest, I will do what ever it take to
stop this project. So president Obama understand that you have lives in your
hand. We will do what ever it takes to stop the Keystone pipeline project. My
native people we are the children that will help protect our mother nature.

So Imani Rothwell what do you think of the rejections towards the keystone project?
I think that anyone who have rejection to this project do not understand the business aspect of it. This project will create over 100,000 jobs. That’s more availability our country have seen in a while since the recent recession we have had. Which too many people still feel like a recession? I also think people who reject is a hypocrite. They say the want cheaper oil and when we try to supply it all of a sudden we become the devil. That to me makes me real skeptical since my main aspect is to provide to the common wealth of what they want.
Can you tell us any pros and cons to this major project?
The pro is money. This can provide money and lead our country to receive wealth like never before. The Middle East will be mostly effect by the wealth since that is where the pipeline will be running. The con is that the environment will be effected. Too me that sucks because I was hoping we can try to do this where it will not effect the environment as much, but hey money is money you can’t deny that.
Any final opinions?
Yes. To those who are watching the talk today understand I am a businesswoman. As a businesswomen money is my focus so I have to make so rash decisions that may cause harm. I just wanted to let you know to do more research and understand that when Obama approves it will not be so bad. The environment will learn to adapt to the changes just as we will learn to adapt to the many job opportunity and money that will be received.
Imani Blog
It all started when my sister decides to make herself some hot chocolate. It was a hersey brown, and by the looks of it you can tell it had the perfect amount of sugar. On top of the hot coco was small marshmallow the ones that come with the pack of hot chocolate. On top of the smaller marshmallows were two bigger marshmallows. That was the icing on the cake that made me drooling over the hot chocolate. My sister asks me “ Do you want some.” Me in a shock moment I respond and say “huh” Then very annoyed she says “ I see you staring at my cup of hot chocolate now do you want me to make you some or not.” I ignored the fact that she totally disrespected me and just nodded my head yes. We headed to the kitchen where our walls is painted grey with a white trim on the top and bottom. Near the stove we have tile by it so the heat want make our kitchen wall looks greasy and nasty. Then over by our dear park water dispenser is a radiator and the big white refrigerator. I head over to get me a tea cup by our mahogany colored counter where a white dish drying rack had sat on top. When I looked to see if there was any tea cups I realized I had to wash my out one in the silver colored sink with a hose on the side. While I was doing that my sister was getting the ingredients ready to make me the best hot coco a kid at the age of 9 had tasted. After the ingredients were out and my cup was cleaned, we went over to full the white and pink tea cup up with hot water. I remember the day before my mom told my sister and I that if we have the bottom of the water dispenser filled with water again that was our behinds. So I told my sister “ When your pouring the water go slow because I do not feel like hearing Mommy's mouth on the bottom of the dispenser full with water let alone hot water.” My sister sucked her teeth and responded, “ I know I’m not no little kid.” By the time my cup was half way filled I hear the phone ring. Our phone had the annoying answer machine where it calls out the number and name slow as to say your slow or something. I heard the numbers 215 742 and quickly assumed it was my grandmother calling about picking me up for the weekend. As I turned my head towards the phone to hear the remaining 4 digits I realize I had to keep an eye on the hot water from the cup. As turned my head back towards I seen my sister wasn’t paying attension either which cased the bottom of the dispensier to have little water in it. In my head just from the few drops of water I could picture my mom yelling and screaming about her having to clean up the water. So I quickly shoved the cup into the dispenser as if I was some superhero stopping a car, to keep any more water from go to the bottom. After that moment everything moved so fast. It was like i was in a move but in fast forward mode. The cup of hot water fell on my left leg leaving a big pink scar. I was screaming so hard I though my lungs would come out of my mouth. I started Running all around the house. I even dropped stopped and roll, because the heat from the water felt as if my leg was on fire. moments later my mom came down and from the look in her eye i can tell that she was just as scared as I was. On my leg was a bright highlighter pink scar and you can see as the water dripped my skin slowly started to peal also. So she frantically said “ Alisha grab you and Imani a coat and get her some shoes to wear.” Then my mom scooped me up and ran to her car, right behind her was sister crying. The ride to children hospitals was 7 Min's top, and normally that ride is roughly 10-15 Min's. My mom was driving like there was no other cars on the rode. During the whole car ride I prayed. I was calling to God Jesus, and even my grandma to not let me die from this tragic accident. When we arrived at the hospital they immedietly took me to a room and started operating on my leg. The room had a blue curtain to cover me from seeing the ill patient on the right of me. The Bed had an annoying plastic on it that I ripped after the scrworming around I did. Above my head was some sort of annoying machaine that kept on beeping, which in my mind was a good thing and bad thing. The good thing was I was still alive. The bad thing was I was alive to feel this escroning pain. Out of my right eye while lying down I can see my mom walk away crying. In my right ear I can hear my sister sobbing and crying praying she was making me even more scared. After about 10 Min's I seen my uncle come in and I can hear my mom tell my aunt who lived in Maryland to stay home that we have everything under control. I felt so much love but even that wasn’t enough to keep my mind from focusing on the pain in my leg. When the doctor came in he told me some devastating news, I had to stay over night and only my mom can stay. That could not happen. My mom sister and I are a trinagle. A perfect polygon and with out one side we become a non-polygon. Therefore we always stay together no matter what. So at the moment I started praying. For the whole 45 Min's I was in there. I was praying so much I could hear the nurses talking about going to church the following sunday. Through the whole experience I must say that my pray was answered, because with a second degree burn I was out the hospital in 45 Min's. I went home in my mom queen size bed with her big green soft cloud like comforter laid down in the middle with my mom and sister arm wrapped around me. After a few minutes of closing my eyes I was relieved that all of out heartbeats was beating in the same place and that was at home.

Have you ever cried tears that felt like atomic bombs hitting your checks causing your skin to become weak. That's what I did repeatedly as I tried to cope with the situation I was in.
It all started the night before. My mom was in her bed room where the old wall paper pealed of like an onion be striped from its skin. Her queen size bed set in front of roughly a 35 inch Panasonic colored television. On the side of her laid a cluttered end table full with papers pens half full soda bottles and other junk. My sister and I ran into the room playing around just to have fun before it was time for bed. I sworn in and quickly said “Mommmmmmy” in a voice a 12 year old to immate the annoying voice of a little kid. My mom looked at me in disbelief that i was acting childish and quickly responded “ Girl get out my face I’m about to get on the phone, how about you and your sister get up out my room.” When our mom say the lines “GET OUT MY ROOM” to my sister and I that's an invitation to the play the “How long can you annoy your mom game.” So my sister and I jumped on the bed and quickly started laughing while cracking jokes on my mom. Just as we were getting started her phone rung. It was my God mother Jackie calling to talk to my mom because a few days ago she had recently had a baby girl. As soon as we heard that it was our god mother on the phone we got super happy. Then my sister and I began acting like 3 year old by jumping on the bed and messing with our mother. Of course the game had to end because not only did we have to head to bed for school, but my mom was about to go in one of her talk for hours deep conversations. Just to get one more laugh in we begged out mom to let us say goodbye to our god mom before bed. My mom insisted it was our bed time and told us, “ You will talk to her another time now go to bed.”
Next day my mom calls me on my cell phone saying “take you and your sister to uncle mopey’s I’ll pick y’all up from there.” I thought to ask more questions because my mom toned sounded as if she was in some serious trouble that she felt obligated to discuss when she picks us up. So I left it at that and told my sisters the news. My sister and I waited for my mom at our uncles. His house is extremely big. It was an old pretzel factory that he decide was best to fix up and turn into a house. Even thou the green paint is chipping and the grass was as high as a cornfield, the inside of his house was beautiful. He has these glass mirrors that have glass within the glass that makes up an unique pattered Steps with columns to follow up them and two big columns that is at the end. His couch is a nice big golden couch that it looks as if he robbed it from queen Elizabeth himself. In his dinning area is a long supper table with different cakes and cookies for people to come in and snack on, and right behind that lies an old piano me and my sister joke saying that its so old that bavtoven played on it. As you walk down the long table it leads you to two glass doors. On the doors says Ralph Lauren, behind the door lays a small kitchen area where pots dangling over top of the counter and chips and food feast on the counters. After spending a few hours in my uncle home my mom finally arrived. She showed up in my god mom small green car. She came in the house got my sister and I and then talked to my uncle for a few minuets. When my mom came in the car that’s when she was attacked with 21 questions. We started asking why she had god mom jackie car, where was god mom jacke, did she see the baby with out us, and by the look in my mom eye I can tell she had enough. She told us to sit back and shut up. The short 5 minuet car ride became a long 5 hour car ride because questions wasn’t being answered.
When we arrvived at the house my mother quickly told my sister and I to have a seat. I can hear it in her voice the news was bad so I stood up just so I can prepare for the worst. Thats when the words started fighting with her closed lips to give us the news that our god mom Jackie had passed. Thoese words came shooting at me and pierced me right through the heart. My eyelids was fighting back the tears. My brain couldn't tell what was real and was fake. Next thing I know our dinner room have became flooded with water from the tears that our body couldn't stop producing. I was so angry so upset that the wall has became an innocent victim of crossfire as my fist blistered into the white wall knocking it sheet rocks into pieces.
The death of my God mom lead me to think different. One I never said my last goodbye to my loved one leaving me never take another person life for granted. Two I have so many questions on why god chosen to take a prize possen out of my life.
I learned that I am a Strong writer but I can work on being on one topic at one time. Also I can work on my transition and expanding my vocabulary. Through My whole experience of writing these scenes I realized that there is a writing side of me. That I decide that I may want to try and practice more so i can write a book. As I was writing these scenes I notice my Strong points was getting descriptive and understanding where I can fit

People can’t predict the future but rather make assumptions, and sometime those assumptions we will regret.

When you go to my uncle house it gives off a 80’s soulful look. He lives in an old pretzel factory, that he decide was best to fix up and turn into a house. While waiting my sister and I was jamming to some old school music. I started dancing doing the tootsie roll and cabbage patch. Then she tried to top me by doing the running man and robot. When the radio started playing Pattie Labelle, Gerald Lervert, and Luther Vandross, that's When we really started jamming by lip singing to their songs.

Through this experience I realized that what we think will be here forever can be taking from us in a blink of an eye. We should never ever take anything for granted especially our loved ones. Also god will have you go through the storm just to get you to the rainbow even if that means taking away a loved one. So never question it just accept it because what don’t kill you makes you ten times stronger.
After School I’m going straight home and I will have my mom, sister and aunt read it over. Then I will edit through it to make sure its an A project, also to make sure i have learned something about descriptive language. Reread rubric

Negative Space
i found negative space in my drawings by seeing how i filled in the spaces between to form an image.
It helps an artist see an image because it shows the an image from the spaces between and how the image form it's artistic shape.
For me in a way it does because it let me see another side of a drawling, but when it comes to drawling negative space that's when it confuse me.
