Mamadou Samassa Capstone

Posted by Mamadou Samassa in CTE Senior Capstone · Kamal/Ugworji · Wed on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 2:29 am

Through a period of about five months, I worked on remodeling my home basement. I started with cleaning out space than followed up by planning and budgeting the renovation project. I engaged in producing something that I have long hoped to complete since the summer of 2019. It includes creativity, labor, design, and, last but not least, engineering skills. Unfortunately, with the appearance of Covid-19, I had slow progress. I had the idea of putting forward a project that would benefit my family even after I leave for college. I wanted to leave behind something that my brothers can look up too. It’s the first time I ever did something like this, but I learned a lot from my thinking process. I learned that having a “finished product” and a finished product are two different things. One is putting in the work and being satisfied with the effort put in. While having a finished product is attempting to hit every point and being content with the outcome according to the effort put in.

Why look for these three strengths in a high school student? 3 strengths: honesty, dedication, leadership

Posted by Mamadou Samassa in CTE Engineering 11 · Kamal/Shagin/Ugworji · C, d2 & x2 Bands on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 10:51 pm

Intro

Growing up in complex environments obligated me to take steps to see three major strengths I see in myself. Honest, dedication and leadership, they are each specific in the way they came about transforming me, into a loving, caring, and outgoing human, not human alone, but a human being. I had many devotions coming from such a culture and different groups of people throughout my life experience. I’ve always been surrounded by a variety of different colors, it never ends just like the variety of colors in the color spectrum, but still, I found myself blind to some colors. I’m sure with time and effort more colors will be discovered, through diversity.

What makes an honest human being?

(1.free of deceit and untruthfulness; sincere. Googles definition of honest)

Being honest comes with lots of trials and tribulations, in the harshest and stressful situations even telling a simple lie is difficult to avoid. Honesty is a skill which took many trials and errors through my life, even though I would know what not lying could put me in, I would take the truth because I have a sentiment of fulfillment and truthfulness. Many individuals, children as well as adults feel comfortable and safe to speak to me about their problems, and would know that I would be honest to them as to what my judgment is if it’s what they look for through me. I haven’t always been the most honest person growing up, in fact, my model is within the Islamic tradition, my role model is the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) he was a man which lived 1400 years ago in the Arabian Peninsula and has billions of followers in this current day. His companions said he was a truthful person, which is much heavier than honest, however, he never told lies, and even children would go up to him because of how just he was. I do my personal best to mimic his actions and do so even when the whole world weight is cared for by me in the process.

How is dedication acquired, and how do I regenerate its motivation?

(1. the quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose googles the definition of dedication)

Dedication has been instilled in me from early on, when I was in elementary school attending the French International School of Philadelphia, I was obliged to add another language to my life, already being trilingual, and that was French. I am already dedicated to putting in hard work, but it’s once you realize the prizes you receive after that hard work that I was eager to apply more dedication in everything I did. In my opinion to be dedicated is one thing, but to continue to be dedicated is another, I pushed myself with every breath I take to refresh my mind and my body to be able to physically take on heavy burdens, which is many times very difficult to keep up with. Being dedicated means never giving up, and many times emotions will encounter you at the end line, and that is a way of celebrating your accomplishments. Just like an 8th-grade graduation, or a college graduation moving on to what life has in store for each in every one of us, we won’t all make it, which is what makes this whole dedication aspect fade away at times.

I’m a leader now

(1.the person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. Googles definition of a leader)

I am what my fellow teachers and classmates look on to as far as leading, and possessing leadership fundamentals. Leadership is a skill which isn’t just developed through education or success it’s much more than that, the world's top leaders you will find that are not all successful, or intelligent, but instead have the simple qualities humans should possess, friendship, love, connection, and especially peace. As a leader in many situations I am able to control my emotions at moments of hardship, but really on the One, and Only Him. Me earning such status of being a leader came with work, from very young age my elementary teachers noticed something different about me, and really saw that I was special, it’s just now that I am seeing everything come together just like a puzzle, piece by piece until the full-scale image is revealed. I don’t always feel like I am built for handling the role of a leader, however, it’s to that point I pushed myself to so I must accept such a remarkable gift, and use it to benefit myself and others.

Conclusion

During my time in CTE Engineering Program, I will be able to use my three strengths which are honesty, dedication, and leadership by working with others around me. I believe teamwork will need those three strengths because first of all with a leader you have control, and with control, there will be fewer conflicts to evolve in a scenario. Honesty can be used in a formal or professional setting such as an Engineering Program since mistakes will be very relevant, and everyone makes errors. Having honest human being will save a lot of time complications within a Lab. Last, but not least deduction, it the firepower which drives pretty much everything, without dedication there no will of doing great, and achieving greatness. This is just the beginning, with time and focus these three strengths I believe to possess will grow bigger and strong, after the rain arrives the grass regrows.

Is Pride Always Hidden

In Lord of Flies by, William Golding shares a deep understanding of how much pride a person can maintain within themselves when being cherished by those around them. Sometimes it is hard for people to see their true colors, could it be that they want to be different? There are people that use their pride as a way to get ahead of everyone, others who use it to look bigger than they really are, and this is all the result of being influenced by their own action. This pride people are so daring to try is like a drug one good taste of it and there is no return, it becomes a habit an addiction. Pride is the destroyer of hearts, the grave for the arrogant, the cause of losing someone important. A person becomes a liability when pride barricades them from other people. The author of the novel presents Ralph the main protagonist in the story as having arrogance because he wants to show how pride turns friends into enemies, and how pride leads to guilt.

An example of this arrogant behavior also took place during 1301 BC. There was a ruler during the  Moses, named Ramses ll, he was the third pharaoh of his dynasty, his father, King Seti the first. Ramses ll lead many expeditions including the Levant and the battle of Kadesh. Ramses led several campaigns south of Cataract to the land of Nubia which was later taken by him. He was a cruel leader which loved to see his people in great agony. According to the Old Testament and the Quran, Ramses ll was the same man who was a contemporary of Moses and the Jews. He was also the one who adopted Moses when he was only a baby. After Ramses ll took the throne at the death of his father he became a very arrogant, prideful, and even calling himself “God” he had possession of all the riches of Egypt, and was the most powerful man of his time. Muslims mention that he was also married to Asiya which was one of the most honored women in Islam, amongst Mary, Khadija, and Fatima (peace be upon them). She was tortured to death because she refused to call her husband Ramses a God, and made sure to discontinue his self-pride. Ramses eventually received a punishment from God after constantly refusing to give the Jews freedom, and saying he is the greatest later dies at the crossing of the Red Sea. According to the Quran Allah (God) says, “So this day We shall deliver your (dead) body (out from the sea) that you may be a sign to those who come after you” (Quran 10:92). Allah ordered the sea to drown the Pharaoh then to spit him out whole, without any decomposition streaking his body so that he may serve as proof to the people who believed in him and to us today. His arrogance put him in a place where he forgot the one with supreme power over all things. The quote can be found true today because if you visit the Museum of Cairo today this man is found in the Royal Mummies Chamber and he is preserved and displayed just like Allah promised. When Allah says “so that he may be a sign for those who come after”, he was speaking of people which act with so much arrogance, and are full of themselves just like the Pharaoh. Arrogance is dangerous because it causes a change in a person, making no longer a person, but trying to become something more superior, and it destroys the friendships and love, the Pharaoh lost his son, his wife and his people because of his arrogance for himself, the Prophet Moses came to him day after day telling him  your Lord orders you to free his people and he refused, he knew the truth, but refused, for what to show people he is strong?

It’s time for the election and the boys are deciding on who should be the leader, and who has the capabilities to sustain a healthy living community of survivors, however a leader which will also have no second guess as to what is best for their community. Jack seemed to be the obvious choice for becoming chief, and piggy demonstrated a lot of intelligence. Ralph on the other hand “appeared” very attractive, without even having a stable qualification was deemed to be the leader of all the boys. "Shut up," said Ralph absently. He lifted the conch. "Seems to me we ought to have a chief to decide things." (22). This quote clearly shows how prideful Ralph was, he was the one which brought forth the idea of even having a supreme leader, as for Jack was arrogant after saying, “ I ought be chief”, but Ralph was self-conceited he said, “It seems to “me” we ought have a chief to decide things” referring to himself, he was showcasing that he was the only one capable of being chief, he didn’t tell the others he had floss when he was spoken good about, and always had something to saying if anything negative was said about him.

Ralph has now been on the island for quite a while starting off when he and his group of survivors first arrived at the island, to know where he is alone. Once upon a time in solitary with Piggy, Simon, and Samneric, now they are no more. He hides in the thick underbrush wondering in isolation how he’ll be able to heal his rib wound, he desperately wants to wash, but there is no guarantee that he won’t risk being caught by Jack and his group of savages. He finally realizes he is the one who caused all this grief and suffering, he is the reason why Piggy no longer is by his side. “And in the middle of them, with filthy body, matted hair, and unwiped nose, Ralph wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of man’s heart, and the fall through the air of the true, wise friend called Piggy. (222). The phrase that shows Ralph was arrogant the whole time was “Ralph wept for the end of innocence” he knew he was never innocent, he knows why he brings the brutal truth after the loss of his closest friends. The darkness in his heart is due to the regret of not looking out for his people before himself. Sometimes being a chief means the loose joy, it means doing the good for the people over the individual, something he missed interpreted. Ralph wept in despair and regret, just like a sinner who sinned their whole life and felt that sense of repentance after coming back. It had taken him all this time to finally realize, he lost everything, he had forced himself to a place which never belonged to him, he knows what was bad for him, but still stuck to it because it made him feel good. It could be that something which he liked was bad for him, while something which made him feel bad might have been good for him, as there could be some many benefits that come with it. Ralph revoked seeking others aid, while he focused on himself, and anyone that had possession of what he was looking for, which was respect, honor, power, but what use is having all these blessings if those blessings are not shared back?

In conclusion Ralph from the very start, Ralph gave signs of his self-pride which later evolved into arrogance. Ralph became boastful of himself, forgetting the people that cared for him, once he lost those people he learned their worth. In society, the greatest rulers occasionally forget what it means to be a leader it means to be equitable to all the people, audacious whenever and wherever, it means having discretion. Pride is a major reason why relationships no longer share a strong connection, pride is a damning human characteristic.

"True Friend" Monologue

Posted by Mamadou Samassa in English 2 · Pahomov · E Band on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:36 pm
True Friend

Ah yo shut up,(pause) Ownen no just shut up. I really had it with you. I’m really about to sock you keep on trying me, you got no clue what you saying (pause) “I’m retarded”. You really think I'm going to let it slide through? No, (pause) I’m speaking here stop trying to change the topic .

Why do you think it’s Okay to call someone slow? Huh? (pause) I mean you're the one that does whatever that girl Sandy tells you to do, (pause) okay, but the point is  if she told you to jump off a cliff you would do it you son of bit*ch.

You said things in the past that I let go, once you embarrassed me in front of my whole class, saying I didn’t have deodorant on, instead of looking out for me you didn’t. Do you understand what that means? (pause) of course you wouldn’t. You always invite Max and Jacob to your parties and you guys backbite me, don’t act like I don’t know, would you like to eat my flesh, or even better would you enjoy stabbing me while I’m not facing you. What you got to say about that?  You know what F**k our friendship, f**k everything. I need to hang around better people, people that will take me for who I am and not who they want me to be. Owen you  would be the type of friend  that would only applaud me for doing dumb stuff, so you can mock me, (pause)you’re one of those people that takes pride in watching others fail, in watching me fail calling me a “retarded”.

(To the Audience)

Poor Owen, if only he could understand what a retard in my definition means , it’s someone who is behind on  everything, someone who doesn’t deserve spot anywhere in our society, and all that I could tell you is,  that’s not me, and that will never be me, I earned my spot in society, and I know for a given fact that I’m important, I make a difference. You don’t understand at what extent I want to just snatch all that arrogance away from him, and see the Owen I’ve known since we were in kindergarten. It’s as if as soon as a teenager has a taste a little bit of goodness in high school, they seem to  forget about everything that was once  important to them, (pause) all of it, and become a so called “savage” to grab people's attention. Owen walks into every situation blind as if his soul couldn’t just leave his body at any instant. My dear friend I’m here I was always here, through your problem, through your times of joy and happiness, through your struggle I feared this a day would come where our friendship will break. It’s like you're a tree loses it's leaves a friend loses it's friends, it seems that we’ve arrived the finish line, the end of our journey. Bye my friend or as the french would say ”Au Revoir mon cher amie”.

I would love to just embarrass him in front of the whole world, but who would I be? I would love to make him feel my pain, but I won’t, I would love to fight him nock all his teeth out, but I won’t. All that I know is that I must be the bigger person today, tomorrow, everyday. (laughter…..) Today I choose to forgive him, to forgive not only because I’m the bigger person, but because it’s only fair that I let him see the regretful mistakes he carries within himself, so he see the path to fixing himself, and he will follow it, and with that he will finally find peace within himself

You're not worth my time!

Miss Pohomov

I was enrolling in the French International School of Philadelphia, on the 12th of April, while flowers bloomed with unique colors of blossom purple and velvet red. The bees flew from vine to flower, grasping onto each milliliter of pollen that was flowing in every breath I took. The atmosphere was breezy, spreading a bunch of little particles of mist around me. I made my way to a seat next to an arborvitae, it’s bark an ashy grey and reddish brown, with its twisting shape providing shade. I sat at the table next to the tree, as I prepare to relax my conscience, a young boy with big fist stood up to me, looked me dead in the eye “Allahu Akbar,” he said. Without any empathy, he let a regretful smile slip right through his reddish pink cavity. My attention navigated towards him with an uncontrollable amount of fierceness and exasperation.

“Do you know what that means?”

“No, but it’s what Muslims say before they blow themselves up, killing non-Muslims,” he said.

I looked at him with confusion. I wanted to ask him if he knew it was mentioned in the holy Quran of Allah(God) by saying, “If you kill one person it is as if you killed all of the mankind, and if you save one life it is as if you have saved all of the mankind.” The redistrict that enters people's minds saying that all Muslims represent groups like Isis, or that mosques are the hotbeds of radicalisation is completely false. Our prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) called this group the worst of the creation, even though he said they recite the Quran. These are people who believe in the Quran and recite the Quran. In the hadith the prophet said, “They call to the book of Allah(God) but they have nothing to do with the book of Allah, they call to the Islamic law, but they have nothing to do with the Islamic law.”

The prophet also said, “Those who fight them are closer to the book of Allah than they are.”

“Yo,” the boy with his Bolton knuckles yells in agony, “I’m talking to you!”

“Yes,” I reply in a gentle tone

“Why are staring at me like that?”

I  went back to my reflecting. Did he know that jihad is interpreted in many ways: waking up for the morning prayer is jihad, and fighting in the path of God is jihad. Muslims only fight when they are provoked, just like how the United States would defend themselves in any crisis. And, we must incline towards peace if any enemy does as well. Look at Syria, Palestine, Jordan, we suppose that we are the civilians and they are the suspects, they look for peace, and the  headlines are saying, “The US has yet again eliminated another leader of Isis, after Isis has just a week ago killed an American reporter.” What makes you think civilians won’t get killed when you decide to drop “The Mother of all bombs?” If I were to utter the smallest atom of Islam it would start creating differences between people from the way they live, speak, act, interact, and the way they simply understand the world.

If it’s not that all Muslims are terrorist, it starts with the destruction of the twin towers. As my deep thoughts started to weaken, all I saw were the Bolton knuckles which deliberately jacked my face up. It was so unexpected.

“What’s your problem,” I could feel every corner of my face heating up like wood burning after hours of intense calefaction.

“That’s what you deserve, you fake Muslim.”

I want to punch him so badly, my body suppressed heat, my heart is beating faster than ever before, but I ask myself, would the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon) use violence as revenge? No, he wouldn’t because he came as a mercy to all of  humanity, and I must follow in his path as well as the path of Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Zacharia, Yusuf(peace be upon them all) and many more. All prophets of the one and only Allah(God). The prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) suffered so much during his lifetime. He lost his children, people tried killing him more than once, he was an orphan, and yet after all of these trials and many more, he had  kindness, forgiveness. He treated his enemies with more respect than his own people. So, who am I to hurt this kid? I stood up and looked at him, gave him a smile.

“Why are you smiling, did you hear what I said, fake Muslim!”

I started walking away, “Hey, I’m talking to you. Hey! You walking away because you scared.”

“You're not worth my time.”

Week 9 Day 1 & 2 print/matt

Posted by Mamadou Samassa in Art - Freshman · Hull · c2 Band on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10:50 am
My element is Cu. Copper and an atomic number of 29. Copper dates back to the prehistoric times. There are reports of copper beads dating back to 9000 BC found in Iraq. Methods of using copper were also discovered by North Africans. It could be used in pottery, for making coins, which eventually became very important in the trading business, it’s also relatively easy to shape into whatever forms that may please you. Some compounds Copper is typically a part of are: Fluorides, Chlorides, Bromides, Iodides, Oxides,Sulfides, Selenides,Tellurides. I got the idea of the imagery I chose after looking up facts about Copper. To making my print I followed what we had to do for everyday we had art class. Day 1 negative space, Day 2 Research, Day 3 cut out, Day 4 rubber stamp ideas, Day 5 rubber stamp, Day 6 element print, Day 7 Trace and Transfer,Day 8 Printe element, Day 9 Matt print. Something I would do differently if I had this stamp again would most likely be the design of my stamp, I could get a bit more creative. The part I enjoyed most about this project was the printing our art with the colors of our choice, I did one that was silver, red, and green. I liked the way we took a tray with a rolling tool, dab it into the paint and role the rolling tools until it spreads completely around the object, then we take our stamp and coat it and print it onto white paper. I liked the way the paint spreaded throughout the stamp, and the printing is probably the most fascinating thing of all, because the paint like sticks to the paper like glue.

"Final Stamp Design"

Posted by Mamadou Samassa in Art - Freshman · Hull · c2 Band on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 8:53 pm
Untitleddocument (17)
  • During my whole life from before I was born to right now I've been influenced by islam, everywhere I go I keep Allah(It means The One True God) in my life. He has made me a strong person, a kinder person, a loving brother to all my sister and brothers in islam, a followers of all the prophets including Jesus, Moses, and Muhammad(peace be upon them all), and many others before. This stamp doesn't only represent me, but all the people of the world, the last prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said, each child is born muslim, but it is after that their parents make them turn Jew, Christian, or a  Zoroastrian, this was said by an illiterate man, which proves that God had sent this message to him by sending angel Gabriel, the leader of all angles. Allah also says, "I created my servants in the right religion but devils made them go astray", another things all says regarding our belief,Allah explained that when He created Adam, He caused all of Adam's descendants to come into existence and took a pledge from them saying, Am I not your Lord? To which they all replied, "Yes, we testify to It".These are some of the reasons why the stamp symbolizes me, and I will always believe, because Allah wants me to believe, he have us to do with our lives as we wish, but at the end we will return to him alone. The words I used in my brainstorming were: Funny, Energetic, Different, Religious, Friendly, Serious,Myself,Patient,Respectful, and Peaceful.
  •  The assignments were unique in their own ways, everyday I went through a different process to arrive at a point where I feel that, I've mastered stamp making, and printing. At first I was confused about how to approach this assignment, but once I've seen a couple of examples, it's become a second nature to me. To get to the final design I've been through some difficult phases where I had a sense of looking for help, but Ms.Hull has taught me that people won't always be around guiding you where to go, you must do your best, and push yourself to your limits.
  •  Negative and positive space really help make everything easier to see and focus on, it enables your mind to stay focus on thing at a time to make sense of what you are looking at. It also helps to not overload the space, and really puts a sense of space and mobility, which the brain likes, Who would like to live in a house that is filled with objects everywhere you see? No One, everyone once a nice space to breath and relax.
  • Explain the process of truly understanding negative and positive space. Where did you get stuck? What problems did you have to solve? What did you learn about negative and positive space along the way? The process you must go through to truly understanding negative and positive space is for me trial and error, you must make a mistake multiple times to know how annoying it is to keep on making the same silly mistakes. In my mind I associate positive space with dark colour, and negative space with light colour because it's mobile and free. I got stuck when cutting out the positive and negative space, because most of the time I'm afraid to make mistakes, but again that's how you learn. I had to solve how to make my stamp strong, and the way I did that was by using strips of tape and putting them directly onto the drawing, and cutting the additional tape away. I learned that negative and positive space are filled all around us, and that most people don't even realize our brains automatically use negative and positive space, to keep us aware of our surroundings.

Negative/Positive space - cut out

Posted by Mamadou Samassa in Art - Freshman · Hull · c2 Band on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:10 am

A. What is negative space (explain this concept to a fourth grader that has never heard of it)

To easily see negative space you need to use two color to tell one from another, for instance if you look at the image above the part with the most space is the negative space, so the black, and whatever pops out so the green would be the positive space. If you want the negative space if you look at the streets and traffic would be the streets, and the positive space would be the cars.

B. Explain how you found negative space in your cut out? In my cut out you can find negative space by looking at which color is dominant, and has a taste of tension. The black appears more, and if you look at the middle it is jointed.

C. Why does it help an artist to see in negative space? It helps the artist visually see the tree, so that the image is not overcrowded, space ables your eyes to stay focus.

D. Does seeing in negative space enhance drawings, why or why not? Yes, it helps have a guide that is strict enough to prevent mistakes, but has enough flexibility when it comes to you imagination as an artist. Negative space is a healthy guideline, which will enhance the respect and dignity art work needs.

Black hole Edits
                                               Revision
My original slide has been now well edited with best of my abilities, I put everything I can out there.During this project I learned that you can never be trouble free while presenting even if you are so confidant and nothing can go wrong. You must come up with your own way of doing things. I learned that the only way to get rid of butterflies is by going all out and to do your best. I made the changes I made because it was crapped and words were everywhere. I had lot's of contract but didn't know if it was going to be appealing to the audience, many times like Ms.hull said"People will judge you for the smallest of things. I decided to get rid of one of those quotes I had and then enlarged the quote I didn't erase. I slightly moved the word "Black Holes" up so I wouldn't create a tangent. I also made these changes because I wanted to make the design more appealing to the viewers eyes. Research is very important so that you know exactly what you are talking about to the teacher and the audience. If you do research you relieve the stress on yourself as well, it also opens your mind to learn new things about the world because it's impossible to know everything. Even the most intellectual people if you look at it have only made one big discovery and leave everything else to the hands of the next generation of homospehians and that discovery get's more complex as the years go. I have learned so much about presenting because I push myself to the limit. "Don't ever give up on what you already started someone must finish the job."

Based on the research I’ve done on slide creations I learned that many element must being incorporated together to have the best of slides. I will start off by explaining the lines, it is very essential to have lines that demonstrate a symmetrical character in what you are doing so people that have visual component of your work. The visual elements include shape, form, value, space, color, texture. Something I learned was that whenever you are trying to show your highlight of your slide make it big and it will add contrast ”Contrast gives you a lot of flexibility with text, backgrounds, and object¨. “You cannot get large enough” and remember that you should play around with physical shapes have fun! and then we have the elements of art which are: rhythm, balance, emphasis, gradation, harmony, variety, and movement. Also play around with repetition “the best story tellers will repeat the same line throughout a story to build  senses of familiarity, of excitement” “Slides are no different”. I made the slide look the way it does because it shows my personality and how I’m in the dark all alone in space with nowhere to go, surrounded in a empty space of darkness. “Make it visual” understood and remembered “One slide one point” Don’t be afraid to tell your visual story over many frames”Empty space” It could be a good thing, take a chance. Let tell you sometimes in life you must take chances so that way you learn from your mistakes. Pay attention to the design of it.I also made this slide look the way it does because it shows the questions people have about the world we live in and if there is any other life out there, because so many people believe it is impossible that we are the only living being because we are only one galaxy out of billions. I was influenced by this decision when I had countless amounts of questions about the universe, the voyager makes me always think about the day it will be found by another civilization and they will get to learn about our languages and lives on earth. I heard that the one language every world in outer space knows is Math and this will be the way we will communicate with the other world if there are any.

  • explain your L.A.N. Local Area Network - all the devices on your internet connection.  MY Local Area Network is neutral the reason why I say this is because I have neighbors next door so that slows my internet down. Device connected to my internet are: Iphones,Computers,Xbox one and Roku.

  • reflect on what you learned about networks, did you have an OMG moment that you learned something new and interesting? if now write about what you learned. I learned that the network is very complex, since first of all it was made by the army and it takes someone very intelligent to be able to really understand the network. Yes, I did have an OMG moment and it was when I first learned that the network works like a factory. I learned that the networkcan be efficient and at the same time dangerous to all people.

  • what would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home network?  I would tell them to take good care of their network and treat it right.

a+b. what does that wire look like? The wire is relatively bigger then almost all wires, it’s a coax cable it goes across all the other wires into verizon Fios box it has a better reception even if there is a storm or a lot of wind gust.

  1. Do you have a modem and a router or a combination modem and router? What is connected to this router/modem? Name all the devices that use wiFi in your home. I have a combination of a modem and a router with a metal tip. It is connected from the verizon fios box installed in the basement. The devices are the tv, home phones and version cable box.

  2. Who is your ISP? (internet service provider) My ISP is Verizon, but I had a couple other recently.

  3. how much is does the internet cost per month? multiply the monthly cost by 12. What is that dollar amount? The internet cost $60.00 per month with the plan. 6012=720 . The dollar amount is$720 for a period of 12 months.

explain your L.A.N. Local Area Network - all the devices on your internet connection. My Local Area Network or L.A.N can be very slow at times, at my house we have many electronic devices such as iphones, ipad, computer, game systems and more. The L.A.N can also be slow do to my neighbors being so close.

Reflect on what you learned about networks, did you have an OMG moment that you learned something new and interesting if now write about what you learned.? Well when it comes to networks it’s very difficult to understand, since it was first used by the military. I also learned that the network can be a very dangerous place because now a days people hide behind their computer screens and harass young users of technology or take a lot of money from people by hacking.

what would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home network? Other people should know to take good care of their home network and use apps which erase virus to keep them and their love ones safe from any harm.
