Donesha Lee Q4 Art Portfolio

Artist Statement

This past year in Quarter Four art has been great. I have challenged myself constantly, producing artwork I could have never have said “I did”. During this last quarter, students were given the opportunity to produce pieces of ‘their” own choosing. I was so happy with what I created for my four pieces. One piece I put so much time into, I worked on it for a week, even on my free periods. The piece I named after the model “Noel”, was not only an accomplishment, but a great piece of artwork overall. It was crated using many of textures and sizes of papers and colors. It was the hardest piece of the collection I crafted. The second piece was the “Boo” character from “Monsters Inc.”. I was able to collaborate with another fellow artist for that, and it was truly fun to work with both the paint on a project an a good friend. The last two were pieces I felt connected to overall, thus my reason to try and replicate them. I had the exact same reaction and feeling when I first saw both and wanted to instantly recreate the drawings. All of my pieces of art, except for Boo all are “afrocentric” inspired. I really wanted to incorporate my heritage and culture in my pieces this time around. Since, I was given the chance, I went for it. So, I feel as though I portrayed all of them featuring a piece of myself within them. If that makes any sense? The overall process for my artwork was very persistent and challenging, although I loved every minute of it. I hope I can at least have an art elective in college because of my experience in art this year.

Donesha Lee Capstone

Posted by Donesha Lee in Capstone - Block - Wed on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:34 pm

Abstract

This year has been quite interesting through the perspective of my capstone. I ended up changing my capstone to something I could not be more proud to present. Both me and my partner Lala through the weeks of April 20th, 2015 to May 1, 2015 hosted spirit week in order to help with fundraising for an academic scholarship we created. We began our Capstone by first fundraising for a scholarship award we titled The B.A.S.I.S. The B.A.S.I.S is a non-profit organization capstone that helped to fund money for students pay to for the annual "$75 Laptop Insurance". So that majority of the SLA student next year could have the opportunity to win the chance to not pay the insurance from their own inconvenienced pockets. However, we were notified that the amount for laptop insurance changed from $75 to around $40. Thus, in our first fundraising session we raised enough for 2 students to win. Based, on these numbers we decided to place the winnings between the sophomores and juniors of next year. Also, the seniors will have their own chance to win, only in their grade pool. Lastly, we will be donating a fresh lab coat, that the teachers can award to an incoming freshman for next year. In order to make people aware of this amazing opportunity we hosted spirit week. The first time we did spirit week we made it "People's Choice", where students got to decide on what days we did for that week. The next week was committee chosen. Both week’s were successful. Overall, the capstone I will be presenting in more detail was a wonderful success.

Besides why wouldn’t anyone want to be a Bold. And. Successful. Intelligent. Scholar.

Spirit Week Days

The following days within the slideshow are some of our most successful days within spirit week. They were determined by the number of people who participated.

Annotated Bibliography

I noticed that my project really related to self empowerment and knowing “who you are in his world”. You need to be confident with yourself, in order to dress up.  Spirit Week has a lot of days that are not very socially acceptable. Thus, the reasoning behind me focusing on subjects such as “self-confidence”. So, I decided to focus on these areas for my research.

Source (1): "Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are." Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are. TEDGloba, June june 2012. Web. 28 Jan. 2015.

This source provided information about body language. Amy Cuddy the social psychologist speaks about her take on how “body language shapes who you are”. She says that “power posing” or standing with confidence, even though you may not have confidence will help with your succession. She makes her point on how it will affect a person’s “testosterone” and the “cortisol levels in the brain”. Basically, if you act like you have together, then you will have it together. Confidence is a huge factor within this capstone. It takes a lo tout of people to come in wearing pj’s or a superhero costume.

This source provided to be useful for its explanations on empowerment. It begins with explaining the definition, but shifts into what actually can be used to define the term. It speaks about “the elements” or empowerment. Consisting of “ Having decision-making power”, “Assertiveness”, and even “Understanding that people have rights”. It breaks it down very well using other element of empowerment as well.  It finishes up with “empowerment and rehabilitation”, where discusses that forming an empowerment has both rises and falls. Empowerment starts within and it takes a lot to use.

Source (3): Gbla, Khadija. "My Mother's Strange Definition of Empowerment." Watch Later Favorite Download Rate Khadija Gbla:. TEDxCanberra, Oct. 2014. Web. 29 Jan. 2015.

This source provides information about two different definitions of empowerment. Speaker Khadija Gbla grew up in a world with two different definitions of the word empowerment. Gbla’ s mother thought circumcising her daughter, to eliminate any and all sexual urges was empowerment. However, the culture of Australia taught her that it was okay to want pleasure and that what her mother did was “female genital mutilation”. She explains what it was like living in a “clitoris-centric society”, and her struggle to make sure women never find this out about her. You have to be content with your body, in order to accessorize it.

Source (4):Bronson, Mary H., and Don Merki. Glencoe Health. New York: Glencoe/McGraw-Hill, 2005. Print.

The source provided great information on body language, helping other with their emotions, and emotions. It hits on some of the most known body language between people, signs of a persons emotions, and how to deal with some issues. It provides both the problems and resolutions for people’s life struggles. For example, the signs of when a person needs help list “feeling trapped or worrying all the time”, and “becoming increasingly aggressive, violent, or reckless”. It also list the benefits of gaining help during a person’s troubling times. The source overall is one of the best I have chosen in my research for my project.

Source (5): Rowlands, Jo. Questioning Empowerment: Working with Women in Honduras. Oxford: Oxfam, 1997. Print.

I found this resource helpful for all of the information it provided about empowerment through the sexes. Jo Rowlands the author questions empowerment throughout the book. Rowlands explains  how “empowerment” is used so often, yet not fully defined. Through out the book empowerment is studied further about what it actually means. Giving examples of men and women and comparing the way they each approach situations. Rowlands explains how women were empowered in order to frame their experiences. The overall conclusion being that women can be empowered without major changes.

This source was a little hard to connect to my project at first, but then I found it helpful. People go through life with either a “growth” or “fixed” mind set. A person with a “growth” mindset will reach higher levels. While, a “fixed” mindset wouldn’t amount to their full potential. Knowing about these terms will allow a person to understand their issues better enough to correct them using a more effective pathway. Marla Popova the author uses many quotes to describe the difference, and which one a person should flex more in their everyday life. In order to do spirit week you need to have a growth mindset.

Source (7): "The Effort Effect." Stanford Magazine. N.p., n.d. Web. 30 Jan. 2015.

In this source the author explains that a person can be more successful and push past their expectations for themselves, by just embracing their mistakes. This is something I really want our program to really make notice of to our kids. When you understand your mistakes, you learn from them. I feel like our program would thrive if it were to have a motto or “saying” behind it. Most programs with a quote or reference display a sense of unity, which I believe our project should have within it.

Source (8): "Youth Psychology." Laura Thomas, Ph.D. N.p., n.d. Web. 30 Jan. 2015.

This source explains all of the common issues within young adolescent and young adults. They struggle with some of the same issues, however deal with them very differently. A teenager may deal with the loss of someone by crying or shutting out others around them. Opposed to a child who may not even recognize the person is missing. The source would allow me to understand how people process their emotions, through different experiences.

Source (9): "7 Ways Stress Does Your Mind and Body Good." Ideastedcom. N.p., 16 July 2014. Web. 29 Jan. 2015.

The source provided information about how a person stress can both heal and damage the body. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal changes the perspective of things that we originally believe about stress. She tells her patients that stress can lead to other major illnesses, but something came up and changed her perspective. It changes everything around about how people truly view stress. Spirit Week was also created to help with some of the stress happening a the time. here were a lot of standards and benchmarks and a lot of  people were freaking out. It was supposed to help relieve some stress.

Source (10): "Want to Be Happier? Stay in the Moment." Matt Killingsworth:. N.p., n.d. Web. 30 Jan. 2015.

This source discussed about whether or not humans are happy. A researcher named Matt Killingsworth decided to find out using an app. He named it track your happiness, and it reports them back their emotions. His discovery was that we find ourselves the most happiest when we get lost in the moment. feel when people are more educated about how to interpret their emotions, they can succeed further in life.

I planned to demonstrate how seniors at Science Leadership have changed from their freshman selves. I fulfilled this challenge by using video clips, audio, and some pictures. I would like the audience to focus on how people have changed within a short amount of time and realize that sometimes focusing on the old can make you realize the new.

Donesha Lee Q3 Artwork Portfolio

Artist Statement

During this quarter I have made 6 pieces of art I could not be more proud of. I was able to experiment my skills with "Indian Ink", draw a beautiful owl, and create eye popping illusions. It has been a very interesting quarter. I have created everything "free hand", which is a huge accomplishment. I was even given the chance to play with shadowing techniques. It was truly an eye opening experience this quarter.  Throughout this quarter I was able to express myself using many more mediums. It could very challenging, however, the finishing products came out very well. However, I would say that as an artist in "A" band's class I still represented myself through my artwork. Every artist has their own style, and I think I've improved my skill set during this quarter.

Artist Statement

During this quarter I have made 4 pieces of art I am truly proud of creating. I made my first collage that form something else, inspired by two of my favorite fantasy worlds. I created a fabric drawing, without tracing anything. The fabric had to my best, due to the fact that I went with my own gut on how to draw it. Throughout this quarter I was able to express myself using more mediums. I found it both challenging and a little "weird", but the finishing products came out very well. However, I would say that as an artist in "A" band's class I still represented myself through my artwork. Every artist has their own style, and I think I've found my own during this quarter.

Donesha Lee Q1 Advanced Art

Posted by Donesha Lee in Art - Senior Art - Hull - E on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:00 pm
Throughout this quarter I have mostly stuck to the medium of drawing with standard paper and pencil. I have always preferred this medium, due to the easy clean up and accurate design.

The first assignment was a step in a different direction. Creating a ceiling tile with my partner was interesting. We worked efficiently throughout the task of constructing Timmy Turner. Although, I’m not a big fan of paint, the artwork still came out flawlessly. The character was chosen based on our love for the show. He was just another symbol on our ceiling for the remembrance of our childhood.

Another assignment I created was my final piece, the “College”. It was an older picture I had taken of myself in my freshman year. At the time I used to play around with Iphoto. Just like then, I was feeling overwhelmed and distant. Thus, the reason for the picture editing to have been done. The drawing was a representation of how I had felt the exact same way once again. It was another way to reflect my emotions through a different medium.

Overall, the beginning course of this class has been great. I look forward to learning more mediums, a little more history, and creating something new.

Book Review

Goose bump chilling, spine crawling, and hair raising books have been produced by plenty of world-known authors.Stephen Edwin King, an American author of Portland, Maine is known for his wonderful additions to this writing community. As a young child “King” went through a traumatic experience of seeing his friend being struck by a train.King’s parents say he came home “speechless and seemingly in shock.”, but does not seem to have any recollection of it ever happening. His past experiences have influenced his dark productions such as finding a stack of “short stories, entitled The Lurker in the Shadows,”by H.P. Lovecraft, which all belonged to his father that left at a younger age.He went on to tell “Barnes & Noble Studios during a 2009 interview, "I knew that I'd found home when I read that book.” Stating that he knew he was supposed to write horror stories in his upcoming life. However, King’s first published novel “Carrie” was a book he didn’t believe would make it as big as it did.

“Carrie” is a great product of King’s imaginative horror, suspenseful, and science fiction works. The story is written in epistolary form, which is a bunch of newspaper clippings, articles from magazines, and letters from different characters thrown together to give off the telling of a story. Most of it circles around third point of view.It was released April 5,1979, which had an estimate of first print -run of 30,000 copies.King said that he found that the book was quite “raw”, but “had a surprising power to hurt and horrify”.His wife “Tabitha or Tabby” was actually the person who asked King to continue on his journey writing it.It actually went on to profit him $2,500 in advance, but was $400,000 in paperback rights later on.The book is a generally banned book in the United States School System. However, lucky our school.

King says the book was based on two girls he knew during high school growing up.It is advertised as a story of “how women find their own channels of power, and what men fear about women and women’s sexuality.”The story establishes the scenes of a young girl who day in and day out is bullied by her peers, has a highly religious mother, and finds she has telekinetic powers. Carrie is a soft-spoken child manipulated by everyone that she comes into contact with in life. She is a curious teenage girl who just wants to be accepted, but her mother will not let her have that, crushing her under the influence of praying and “God’s way” every minute she can get.

Reflecting back on this book, I can say it was good to get through it. The scenes were easy to read individually, but put together was hard to follow due to its form of writing. It would be like if I read some of it, sat it down, and came back to it;I would have to reread what I previously did. This book requires patience and time. Its 199 page size does not change the difference. In order to comprehend what is happening in the book a person must carefully follow which ever clipping they are reading at the time is describing or saying.

A word of advice about this book is if you don’t have the greatest memory, or patience to go back, and check what you previously read, THIS IS NOT THE BOOK FOR YOU. You will probably consistently have to do that, but not everyone is the same, and may not have the same problems. However, if you are passionately dedicated to read this book before you attend the new remake film of it in theaters, or have heard so much about it, than be my guess. It is a intriguingly interesting, creepy, and is written an a almost mystery type of writing. If you find bullying a little to hard to read, then this may not be the best story to pick on the shelf. You constantly find yourself asking the question “Why are you not doing something?” You begin to lose “YOUR” mentality and morals. This book pulls you into a world of bullying that no one should ever have to go through. It enlightens a whole other side of King’s imaginative skills from his early ages.

Journal #1:

IAGO

That Cassio loves her, I do well believe ’t.

That she loves him, ’tis apt and of great credit.

The Moor, howbeit that I endure him not,

Is of a constant, loving, noble nature,

And I dare think he’ll prove to Desdemona

A most dear husband. Now, I do love her too,

Not out of absolute lust—though peradventure

I stand accountant for as great a sin—

But partly led to diet my revenge,

For that I do suspect the lusty Moor

Hath leaped into my seat. The thought whereof

Doth, like a poisonous mineral, gnaw my inwards,

And nothing can or shall content my soul

Till I am evened with him, wife for wife.

Or, failing so, yet that I put the Moor

At least into a jealousy so strong

That judgment cannot cure. Which thing to do,

If this poor trash of Venice, whom I trace

For his quick hunting, stand the putting on,

I’ll have our Michael Cassio on the hip,

Abuse him to the Moor in the right garb

(For I fear Cassio with my night-cape too)

Make the Moor thank me, love me, and reward me

For making him egregiously an ass

And practicing upon his peace and quiet

Even to madness. 'Tis here, but yet confused.

Knavery’s plain face is never seen till used.

Well, within this paragraph is mostly addressing the audience, as well, as himself. He gives the audience the preview of his plan to began. Where he discusses that he will"have wife for wife". He feels as though the Moor stole his wife. He says he loves Desdemona only for her ability to help carry out his plan. she is like his favorite game piece. He wants revenge on Othello so much that he says it's eating him up inside. He says that he will not be happy until his plan is carried out. He also discusses his plan using Roderigo and Cassio. Although, he is mostly using Cassio. He said he doesn't have all the details but, he has a good plan overall. His plan will be happening blindsiding the people he is using, but putting his plan in motion directly in front of him. Also, at the beginning of the paragraph he discusses and admits that Cassio is actually a great guy, however he still needs him becuase he is in the “loop”.Meaning he is close to Othello. So, saying that we find that Iago has intentions to pursue his plans using Iago.

 Journal #2:

Act 4.SC.1

Lodivico walks in just in time to find the pimp slap of his cousin Desdemona, by her husband General Othello. He sees the tension of the room increase. The tension sees to rise due to Desdemona as well, as himself talking about Cassio in front of Othello. He doesn't know why Othello would be so upset to know they need to go back to Venice. He ask questions about the whereabouts Cassio to have Desdemona answering them, rather than Othello. Soon Othello goes on a little temper tantrum and ends with Othello hitting Desdemona. He ask othello of why he has hurt Desdemona, but is pretty much answered with an exit of Desdemona.Othello answer him by telling him he will follow threw with the orders of the letter. Then he exits. Leaving,Lodivico to wonder why the self-controlled guy he once knew to become filled with rage.Knowing of Othello being upset he begins to question. Seeing the story threw Lodivico’s perspective it is as though your on the outside looking in, and when that happens it becomes easier to see who is doing what.

Journal #3:

Emilia was always a brave hearted women. Her mother named her Emilia Rose to represent the strong woman she wanted from her daughter. She was born into a family that was not very wealthy. Due, to the way things were, her parents put her into an arranged marriage. Knowing of this she decided she would go along with it , But she had to meet him first. She was not presented with a prince charming, but a man she had to grow to care for.She wasn't in love with him, but she respected him. Since he was close to the army. Iago helped her get a job being a maid for Desdemona.Although, she had a money, place to stay, and a husband. She never had what she really wanted, which was a child she could call her own, for her husband was always to busy with "duties".So every time it rained she would picture all the souls of the children she could never have.

Journal #4:

  • What specific actions, movements, and tone of voice are you bringing to your character during your performance?

-I bring caring and the movement of touching my cross at the exact movement she refers to the “heavens”.However, when my husband enters I get a little feisty.

  • What PROP and/or COSTUME item is your character going to have? (It is your job to brainstorm one item that you are responsible for. Some props are clear, like a handkerchief or a wine glass. Others will take a little more creativity!)

-handkerchief

-cross tights

-cross necklace if I can find it

- What is going to make your group's presentation stand out? What have you worked on and agreed on as a group for your scene?

-I memorized my lines, so that should help.We all get use the handkerchief.

Journal #5:

“My wayward husband hath a hundred times woo’d me to steal it, what he will do with it, Heaven knows, not I.I nothing, but to please his fantasy.”

“Do you not chide,I have a thing for you. What will you give me for the same handkerchief?”

-Emilia

These quotes was important due, to Emilia showing two different sides toward her husband. In the first one she is alone and talking to herself. She says that Iago begged her to steal it, although she doesn't know why. Also, that he only wants to “cater” to him.She goes from caring about Desdemona to wanting to please her husband. Then when he comes in her whole mood changes, she sees the person she married, and a whole different perspective than what she wants.I delivered both lines to show her change in character. My group performance  was good and went as expected. We all had props, I’m proud of memorizing my lines. It is hard to memorize Shakespeare!I wouldn’t have changed anything.I now know more about the play, and I found out a different  ending than what I thought.

"Gaydar Alert"

Posted by Donesha Lee in English 2 - Pahomov on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:54 pm
GAYDAR ALERT! Many people in this world are quick to turn their heads to a person that is homosexual. Do they even know the person beyond their sexuality? Do they understand how they feel? Will they take the time to even listen to just one? Well, I did and I hope some of you will too, and take the journey of a person being hit with "Gaydar".

Bryanna Jones Interview

My interview was a project I probably will admire forever. Not only did I get to understand my friend and her feelings better. But, I actually now understand how a person feels in society because of their sexuality. I have gained so much just from my friends perspective. My friend Bryanna allowed me to understand the emotional, religion, and family boundaries that were crossed, due to her sexuality. Now, some people will say they heard of the story about a gay person in society. Although, they may never get the chance to actually understand them emotionally or mentally.

That’s only because of a mental system set in people’s heads that tell them to retreat from people who like their own sex. The society has placed a radar that tells them that homosexuals are sinners, evil, or devils that “shouldn’t walk the earth”, but this interview told me that that same signal won’t tell me why the CAUSE of this has happened. Although, it will tell me how it EFFECTS what has happened.

"Little Lady with a Southern Voice"

Posted by Donesha Lee in English 2 - Pahomov on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 1:26 pm

Donesha Lee

Speak

“Say Good morning the way you do?”

“Gud Monninnnnng, SugaFoot!”

“Why do you finish everything with a cute nickname?”

“Force of nature buttercup.”

“That is to funny, you’re so Southern.”

I growled at my friend as he walked to his class, the smile disappearing from my face. According to everyone I have seem to come into contact with has explained that I carry an "undercover Southern accent" within my voice.I marched to my class just saying “Hey” to everyone else that day.

The sound of someone applying the “Southern tongue” to my voice annoys me to my highest level. It is not something I have been proud to take pride in, because most kids seem to make fun of my undertone.I try and defend myself as though I don't know that it is there, but it seems that I have been lying to the world for hiding who I truly am. Although it is safe to say that I am not the only one such as myself that has this internal conflict. My friend Leah just happened to get her retainer on the other day right after I did the week before, and she is having the same trouble as me. I had saw her and told her to “Ophen upppp luv!”She opened her mouth so I could see her pearly whites.“It feeeels fonny in my mooouth. She said.”I laughed and told her “Eht feeeelsa like tere iss soo mucha schpit in ya mouf luv.”She cracked a smile and said “You schound fonny! she began to laugh.”I told her she didn’t sound much better, entering our classroom, which made her laugh even harder because apparently I  sounded like I said “Yoou dhooon’t schnound mushh beffer.”We walked in the class and I stayed quiet for most of the class period.

The society we now live in has constantly put a pressure on us to have the what I guess people call a "sophisticated accent" that was forced upon everyone to learn.According to The Women Warrior, also known as Tongue Tied by Marine Hong Kingston what stats that, “-I have never come into contact with a black person who doesn't want to speak.”After I heard that from the story I can say that I am now a little bit older and have a lot of self confidence in myself.I am an “African-American” who speaks a lot because I like to hear myself give words to this world. I can now say that "I am happy the way I speak. No one can take that away from because it represents me in my unique way. No!I don't sound very proper all the time. No!I don't care that the hidden Southern accent comes from my grandmother, who's from down south. No!I will not give my peers the satisfaction of hearing me try to speak like someone I'm not. This is me, and I speak my way.” It just sucks that people now don’t just pick on my little “southern tone”, but a lisp that was forced on me by my dentist too.

It seems as though it has just been so much easier in life to just speak the way I originally have throughout life. Which means, I don’t try to use big fancy words, I don’t try to change my voice, and I don’t try and speak all “proper”. It just comes out that way sometimes. It seems as thought the way I ten to reflect myself is just as a Southern Speaker , but it is mostly because of my grandmother. I don’t mean to sound as though I blame her for my way of speaking. Although, I just truly believe she is the one that has most of the persuasion toward it. I will always remember the day when I went to my grandmothers and sat down in one of her chairs in her house. She said

“How ye doin donesha?”

“i’m guud.” I replied.

She then asked “How ye doin in school?”

But at that exact moment when I wanted to reply back, it was as if something jumped inside my throat and made me speak the way I did.I wasn’t able to make out to what I wanted to say because what I actually said shook me up a lot. Instead of saying “I’m doing fine.” I soon found myself saying

“i’m doin quit well thank ya ma’m.”

It scared me so much that I didn’t want to say anything the rest of my stay there. It felt as thought someone had officially slapped the fact that I as a person born in the North, raised in the North, and proclaimed to be a Northerner was forced to sound as a complete Southerner. So now it has just come to my attention that I carry a Southern accent. It may not be the best thing to some people, but it truly reflects who I am as a character or person. People still will always point out my little Southern tone, especially around my grandmother, but I wouldn’t want to have it any other way. It completes me, and now that I am older I actually tend to get a little upset if someone doesn't point out when I first meet them. As a person I have utterly seemed to shock a lot of people with mu confidence in the language I speak, but if it wasn’t for that little Southern sound who is to say that that little undertone is not the help that caused me to get into a good school, or get a great job. No one. So on that note I will portray my Southern accent confident and fulfilling. I would not have it any other way. Now, that I have  come to realized this and have successfully understood my language, I  must say that I can honestly speak well with others, and portray the “little lady with a Southern voice” as my grandmother might say.

Childhood Friends

Posted by Donesha Lee in English 2 - Pahomov on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 8:24 am

(Lying on her bed) My childhood friends, with there big smiles and there eager eyes waiting on me to speak. “Mr. Shnuggles, Nyla, and the best one of all Peachy.” I instantly leapt straight into my story describing how my mother called me down the steps. My father was sitting in his chair watching my every move like a hawk. I immediately sat down on the couch, and waited for the conversation to begin. As I got situated in the chair, my mother walked toward me and handed me pieces of paper with lines and lines I couldn’t make out. She told me to read the paper and explain. So I held the paper to my face and knew what was about to happen. The words that I had held in my hands were all of the messages I sent to my girlfriend. Now a lot of people would say what’s so wrong, but when your a teenage girl living with your parents that praise the Lord...it becomes a big deal. So when I looked up over the paper my mind completely left my body as I saw my mother jump around and throw a tantrum of a 4-year old child. She kept repeating “You are nothing more than a lesbian, and won’t be anything in your life because your gay now.No man wants a woman that is interested in woman. People are going to call you names, and do so to me and your father as well. So now all I’m going to say is that “this” is just a “Phase” and your not allowed to be gay!End of discussion. I stood at the end of what looked like the longest stairwell there was, watching as my parents left with no hint of a “goodbye”. My mother had simply turned the knob, and stepped out with my father right behind. All I could make out through my throbbing throat and watery eyes was “Damn...Angel messed up, I messed up? Or did I?” I slowly pressed the side of my back to the wall and dragged myself up to my room. I practically tripped over my cleats, into the middle of my bed. I forgot earlier to remove them from the path, but I didn't care. I just laid there just doing nothing. All I needed was just somebody to listen to what I had to say, but thenI looked up and there they were just waiting for me to tell what happened. Why would she ever say such a thing? (Turns on her back) O, I know why....because she hates me! I mean would your mother say such a thing to you?(Holds Mr.Shnuggles up in the air and places him next to her leg on the bed.) Don't even answer that Nyla,it was an expression of my feelings. But you know what? That's it right there, it's MY feelings! I mean so what that I have a girlfriend and that I'm gay.Does it truly make a difference in my mothers heart? But overall of that, why did my dad just sit there and not say anything? Doesn't he have a take in all of this? That's exactly what I'm saying Peachy, like do you really wanna be here, or do you just want to hear your wife talk? I'm truly sick of all this. But the sad thing is, is that it has just begun. An I really want another network for my phone.Cause that's the way she found out about my relationship, oh sorry, my "PHASE".(Angel does air quotation marks.) It's not a "PHASE" Nyla. It's who I am, and if she can't except that, than that's her problem. (Peachy falls on the floor, and Angel picks her up.)  Peachy, why in the he'll would I start paying my own bill and why you falling on floors? As a matter of fact I shouldn't have to do anything, because that's my personal privacy and her and nobody can take that away from me.

Posted by Donesha Lee in Technology - Hull on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 10:48 am
Script (Technology)

I followed all of the rules from Ms. Hull’s rubric and www.zachholman.com…

1) DESIGN (Color, Size, and Shape)

2) KNOWLEDGE

3) APPLICATION

4) PRESENTATION

5) PROCESS

- One slide.

- A visual theme.

- Make “Size” matter!

With the above rules in my head I created a slide with diverse color, big readable text, and connected my visual graphic with my text too tell a story.
