Capstone Project

Posted by Cortez Johnson in Capstone · Block/Spry · Wed on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:53 pm

I decided to do my capstone about the student athletes at my school and why they are so important. In the video I asked them questions about life of being a student athletes and some ups and downs about them. I choose to focus around student athletes because I am one and I know the life of one but not everyone does in the video I show what athletes do how they maintain both lives and how SLA impacts us student athletes.

Jannah Groomes Capstone

The final product of my capstone is a Ramadan guide I made into a website. My website includes essential questions, resources, and Quran and hadith proof to back up all of my statements.I was inspired to make this based on the fact that I felt only a few had really known what Ramadan was about. I would answer people’s questions , but I still felt that they were deprived of the answer they were looking for. Even among muslims, some are unaware of how to correctly participate in Ramadan. My initial goal was to finish this website earlier so it could be used during this Ramadan . However, I can still promote this website through school and it can always be used in the future.

Sean Hogan Capstone

For my Capstone project, I wanted to have an Autism acceptance fundraiser. I decided to sell custom sports shirts that have an Autism acceptance spin, along with an SLA shirt, and held an in-school fundraising event one-day selling handmade chocolate taffys, bracelets, pens, and shirts. I made quite a bit of money selling shirts inside and outside of school. The money will be going to CHOP’s Center for Autism Research and other charities that benefit Autism Research and help people affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Autism affects me personally as I have Autism and I have relatives with Autism, so this fundraiser was more than a project for me, it was very personal. Here is my Annotated Bibliography
