Lobbying Blog Post #5 Occupy Movement

Posted by Tyrone Kidd in American Government - Laufenberg on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 12:38 pm

The Occupy Movement is an international protest movement, that is directed towards economic or social inequality.  The first occupy movement was the " Occupy Wall Street" which was primarily started by a Canadian activist group called Adbusters.

We are the 99%, is a slogan political slogan used by Occupy Protesters. The Slogan originally  was a name  of a 28 year old New York Cities, tumblr page.  I feel like its important that I ad this to this blog, because people are marching because they believe that they are the 99%. Marching because high paid people in the world, such as CEO's of big corporations are paying low tax rates and are causing this country problems.

Right TO Assemble

Posted by Tyrone Kidd in American Government - Laufenberg on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 12:46 pm
  • Why did you choose this topic?
Well, I was originally working alone on a different project, but then i realized it would be a load. Then I spoke with my colleague  and began the process on  The Right to Assemble.
  • What did you like about this project? What was most challenging?
Well I feel like this project was very  informative. Working with people on topics in the nation, that are important to us. But more so to the fact that working with people who have done work dealing and being apart of Initiatives like " Future - Leaders - Advancing - Self Help. Via Mind Over Body" .
  • Describe the most interesting fact or event that you investigated.
Well, this may sound crazy or courageous but I actually never knew what "Fracking" was. Until Doug  spoke on it  during the brainstorming process in this project.
  • How could this project be improved?

I feel like if it could have been longer, we would have invested in putting more information in it, and also being able to put more and more examples for the project aslo.
  • Where did you run into trouble with the project?
Well I feel like finding the information for the project such as  you know like fracking, but over all there weren't really any problems that I've encountered through out this project process.
  • What went well with this project?
I feel like through out this project we had fun, and thats the thing with doing work I feel like being able to have  fun, and actually getting the work done.
  • If you had it to do over, what would you change about your decisions or your process?
I fee like I would do the who project over more so add information and if it could be longer ,I would have been able well more so we would have been able to add more examples.
  • What did you learn?

I learned a lot about you know people and the people i worked with and also, like I never really knew anything about the marcelous Shale. I learned a lot during this process.

SCOTUS CASE: Perry vs. New Hampshire

Posted by Tyrone Kidd in American Government - Laufenberg on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:57 am
Issue: In a criminal case, is a court required to exclude eyewitness identification evidence whenever the identification was made under the circumstances that make the identification unreliable because they tend to suggest that the defendant was responsible for the crime, or only when  the police are responsible for the circumstances that make the identification unreliable.

Basically in this case Barion Perry, the guy who is being prosecuted for breaking into someone's car. The thing that is making this case so difficult is because the person who saw him do it, could not identify him what so ever. When the cops put him in a line up she had no clue who it was.  To me she pretty much  took a wild guess  there perry came out. The information  being used in this case isn't reliable information because they are not sure  if the police were their or not. The eyewitness was not sure  if perry was the person or not and they are trying to say that the police were there but then again they are now going to have to put the case on hold because the they don't have enough evidence.

Learners Permit & Licence and Registration

LearnerSPermit

Here is a link to our project. (Learners Permit )

LearnerSPreg
Here is a link to our project. ( Registration)

A brief summary about this project. This project was pretty much me and my partners actin as if we are getting our learners permit, getting out license and getting out vehicle registered. The process for the project was for me and my partner Alexis to research online and find the learners permit application and vehicle registration and  license. During this process  it took us a very long time looking for the MV-1 form, we asked  everyone looked everywhere online until we found gods little angles Ayanna and Donna who gave me and my partner the form.  I don't think i would change anything about what we flow charted, everything is pretty straight forward.  Why I think the system is complicated, well I guess to keep people from fraud but then again that happens pretty much everyday.

Clear Object Q1

Posted by Tyrone Kidd in Advanced Art - Hull on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 11:11 pm
I sketched this Beer mug, because I figured it would be easy. Of course as  Ms Hull always says " I will never give you easy work. They are all hard". How ever  while I was drawing this mug I feel like I tried a tab bit to hard. To me this looks like a "blue print" of how its suppose to look instead of the actual product. In the future, I would like to broaden my knowledge on perfecting an object to look exactly the way it does.

What If....

Posted by Tyrone Kidd in American History - Laufenberg on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 3:05 pm
What if Chinese Immigration never existed. That is the point of diversion I did for this project. The most challenging part of this project was the history behind this finding information, about this project; history about chinese immigration.  Honestly if I had more time to do this project i would totally revamp the entire thing.  I've never knew anything about the project, even this might seem a bit awkward, but I never actually knew about World War II ending with an atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. The impact that the Chinese people have made in the United States are the fact that the majority of the consumers in america, the major companies are owned by Chinese. Major shoe companies  the manufacturing comes from Asia. So thats like a huge impact in America's  International trade routes.

This project could improve, just by me going back a lil further in time to make this more informative and it would also help my point of diversion much much more.
