Reader Profile: Elanor Samble
Elanor Shamble likes reading, but when a specific book is assigned — not so much. Three books she hurl out a window so they can “crash and burn” are: Island of the Blue Dolphins, Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens, and The African: The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano.
Instead, she is much interested in non-fiction books, with rarely any character interaction. If she had a choice to be in any book she has read — it would be her second grade novel called “No More Dead Dogs” which takes place in a middle school. The main characters are apart of drama club, it has an overall happy vibe. If she were placed into her usual genre of books she’d be quite lonely and in a fourth dimension or outer space.
WAG Philly ILP
My ILP is wonderful. It is a great learning experience for me. I learn about different ways of rehabilitation in post-op animals or injured animals. I learned about the history of acupuncture and the benefits of it. There is also a sense of family at my ILP because I see the patients weekly and everyone is comfortable.

Veterinarian ILP - MEOW!
At my ILP in the cat hospital I have worked on October 3rd, 7th, and the 10th. In total I had 16 hours. Everything went well, honestly. I was welcomed with open arms by Ms. Aimee Simpson (the medical director/vet), the other doctors and vet techs. They tell me exactly what they're doing during procedures, the certain symptoms of illnesses; I also learned how to put vaccinations into the syringes. I am looking forward to learning more medical conditions, learning techniques on medical procedures. I would like to know more medical conditions, and learn the names of different medical instruments. One of the things that I found exciting was observing a spaying. I didn't know fixing animals looked like that. I am proud that I have gotten in the hospital by myself. I believe it will be a fruitful experience for me and will be one of the many stepping stones until I meet my ultimate goal.

Media Fluency
On my edited slide I decided to have a 96 pt font to make the words ¨pop¨. The background I chose made more emphasis on the ¨good vibes¨. I kept it simple so it can be easy on the eyes. From my recent feedback, I was told to change everything. So, I did. When I think about it, my first slide was horrific. The triangle wasn't stretched out accordingly and the photos did not represent me. On Garr Reynolds' blog post he stated to use the color well. Certain colors evoke different emotions. So, the light warm colors will make the reader feel light-hearted.
