Basically my project revolves around gender roles in job related topics. In other words the stereotypes of females working in non hard labor jobs and guys working on more hard labor. Gender roles surround everywhere especially in job related things. During this process it was a bit stressful due to just beginning to work in this field and knowing nothing. I learn how to do something simple as fixing the button on the side door and changing the stereo to even bigger projects such as fixing the whole product, the bumper and many more.

The reason why I choose this is because not only I want to grow as an individual many people question my abilities due to my gender. My project address many things especially SLA core values Such as Inquiry-Evaluate the damage and repair needed, Collaboration- With my mentor & customers, Research-I researched about the car, Reflection my process from day one till now and Presentation would be consider of the work I done on cars. 

Steps that I taken during this process varies on what project I worked on. As for to developing a project I have created I have research a lot about auto body and collision and was able to be first hand on how it works. I have been working every Wednesday straight after school with my mentor Israel Rodriguez.  During this process I have encounter many obstacles such as not using time wisely, not being organize and not doing enough research at first but after getting behind schedule with customers vehicles  I was able to gain knowledge, patience and I was able to learn how to multi task. Due to lack of sources on females in auto body and collisions I ended up tapping into sources of females coming into other jobs known for males. 

In my video I provided I shown data of known jobs for each gender, I shown the blend of mix gender and the percentage and not only that but I show what is the definition of a male and female and what is power so people can have a better understanding on  why females and males should be allow to be in any job they desire with out being judge. 

I am most proud of the process I made and the ability of me being able to actually repair damage vehicles. I learn many things but I learn every job have its own static of hard ship in it therefore, if someone really desires to work in a field like this or any other field they should do a lot of research before hand. If I was able to do this capstone over again I would say take more pictures of me working instead of the product. Another thing I would have done differently is find more data on my topic. 

How is SLA a better place because you were a student here? I believe that being able to become a SLA student I have shown a lot of approvement especially from where I am from. I currently was born and raise in North Philadelphia, Kensington area not many people have the ability to reach the things I have since my years in Science Leadership Academy. That being said I made SLA more creative, more out going , more spoken, my  work came from the heart, I showed dictation , I was able to show what I was able to do with just a few things given, the ability to show leadership and many more incredible things. Also as a student of having a disability of learning ( IEP ) I was able to show that SLA doesn’t judge on background or knowledge I shown the partnership SLA is able to build with each student. I have shown the passion each teacher and staff member in SLA is able to provide. Finally, I was able to make a difference for the new generation by showing no matter where you are from people can label you as whatever they want to label you but never give up and reach for your dreams. 

Mi nombre es Alysha Ortiz mi barrio es en norte de Filadelfia en otras palabras Kensington. Mi historia con mi comunidad es muy rica en mis ojos. la razón es porque mi familia es muy conocida por los enormes corazones, la determinación y lucha se hacen para las personas que aman. Mi comunidad no es bueno porque a la violencia, peleas, drogas y etc, pero el vínculo que tenemos es más rica que cualquier otra cosa en su conjunto. Mi barrio esta lleno de boricuas y negros y otros razos pero todos es los mismo nadie mira a nadie diferente solo la policía. Mi mural estaría en mi parque de la vecindad en un árbol.razones porque después de ver la bandera de PR en el árbol y la razón por que los gentes puso en el árbol muestra la fuerza y ​​demostrando que pueden traernos abajo pueden intentar a romper pero siempre vamos a crecer. Por eso me gustaria hacerlo en un árbol en el parque de la razón porqué es porque norris square es muy conocido por llevar a la comunidad.

El arte es algo que las palabras no pueden explicar porque el arte no es solo una imagen es más. el arte es una forma de hablar cuando las palabras no pueden decir nada. Como una famosa frase decir "una imagen vale más que mil palabras". Arte para mi es una parte de la vida. Graffiti, pintura, arte corporal, tagging, borronear, es parte con inspiración, un escape de que esta en gente mente, un soporte, un colocar. Es mi arte una obra de arte? si, cualquier cosa puede ser arte, usted no tiene que ser famoso para decir lo que es. Incluso tagging es arte en mis ojos porque es un signo de que tu eres. El arte público es una manera de contar una historia para mantener un mensaje que va y un recordatorio de un evento.

Mi imagen puede no ser la mas bonita imagen, pero tiene mucho significado. La razón por la que dijo que esto es debido a que la imagen es un reflejo de mi. La niña símbolo de mi timidez y la imagen de la gente simbolizar el amor de la gente cuando te rodean. A pesar de que somos diferentes al final del día todos somos lo mismo es por eso que es la línea de todos los gente es los mismo. La nina cantando y labios simbolizan la música es una manera en mi barrio es capaz de tomar una posición y es capaz de dar un mensaje. El corazón y el superhéroe es sinónimo de si seguir luchando y matar a la gente con amabilidad se puede sacar algo de ti.

Yo creía que cada pieza cumple el papel del arte público. Yo creía que yo podría haber hecho mejor pero mi pieza puede ser una parte del arte debido a la inspiración y lo que significativo. Creo que si se trata de pequenos bloques lil y poner alrededor sería más mejor, ya que puede significar su motivación en todas partes significado.

Mar Adentro es un película a un hombre tetrapléjico. se trata de un hombre tetrapléjico que fue un  un pescador y escritor y viajaba el mundo. España norte en el pueblo, Galacia es donde Ramón vive. Pero para los años de vivir la vida y no se puede mover Ramón quiero quitarse la vida. Sin embargo el no puedo tratar por lo que pide a sus seres queridos “ Tu puedo apoyar y no juzgar y ayudar a mi un asesinato. Esta película es un debate feroz con cada reparto miembro.

La pregunta en la película es “ si amas a alguien le ayudará a matare llos mismos” Como deprimente como parece ¿quieres estar en contra de o estar de acuerdo ? Con una pregunta como esta las cosas como si lo haces es un crimen cuando la persona quiere haces una tragedia como esta. Por otro lado anque es deprimente es lo vale la pena.

Para mi No estoy de acuerdo pero si la persona quiere lo más importante es hay que respetar la decisión. Nadie puedo sería mejor/peor pero no importa y es inutil para tratar de cambiar de opinión si ya está establecido desde hace tantos años. Como lo veo yeo y como yo lo entiendo al final del día no es lo que nos quiere morir. 

La reseña desde mi punto de vista es la película trae buen punto sobre hasta dónde va a ir con amor pero lo que hay que entender es donde se destacan porque no se puede mover por lo que no puede amar a la gente de atrás. Para mi eso es ridículo entonces yo no hago esto pero tratar ayudar Javier bardem y hacer mejor sus últimos días.

Our creative piece is about the meaning of showing public vs private self and showing the acceptance of difference. We went to crafting our piece by wearing a shirt of past things that happen. Our process was easy due to us knowing how judgmental our world is it was easier to catch people action. Only problem or issue we went along with was getting people first expression. Due to this school being a project based school People I’m assuming thats why the reactions was not as fully as we extended. I believed the aspects of the project that I done well is brining a message on what we was trying to do. Aspects of the projects I feel I could have done better was the way I spoke I could have planned it instead of freestyle it. If I can do it all over again I would have change the way I reactivated.

As a project in art class we work on sugar skulls however due to not having the correct problems we instead plaster our faces. This process only took about 15 minutes; Basically we grab the cloth of plaster and cut it up into big pieces and small pieces so we can put it on our faces we repeat this step to make 5 layers. We then put vaseline all over our face the reason why is because if we do not it will stick onto our skin that being said we would put a thick layer this is before putting any layer of plaster onto your face. When placing the layers in order for it to work we placed it into warm water causing the strips to be damp and be placed onto the face. The process from beginning to end was difficult the reason why is because I was afraid to get it done on myself but as time flew by i grew out of it and actually doing it finding it to be really easy. It was an amazing experience doing this because it shows the creativity you can do with the things around you.

I choose to paint the Puerto Rican Flag the reason why I choose to do this is because out of all 6 races I am my most proud race is being boricua. Being boricua or in other words puerto rican my heritage shows a lot of dedication and pride. Throughout my ancestors years it shows me that being part of this heritage is just not any title of race but history that I can carry on and be able to pursue in life to do what my heart desire. My heritage flag sometimes get confuse by the cuban flag however the color of the bands and triangle reversed; However the design initially influenced by the US flag. The white stands for Peace and Honesty, Red for the hardiness, bravery, strength and velour and as the color blue it stands for vigilance, truth/loyalty , perseverance and justice. As for the white star it stands for the commonwealth of puerto rico, the three sides of the equilateral triangle represent the three branches of the republican government and the fact its blue stands for our sky and coastal waters. The three red strips symbolize the blood that our people had shed and the two white stripes symbolize the right of man and the freedom of the individual. I choose just to do a simple flag due to the history it haves and the meaning behind it.

I actually got to say this actually went really well theres nothing i can think of that went well.

If i had a choice to do something differently next time i would just make sure everyone had the final product at the end.
