Q4 Advanced Art - Gavin Lane

In this final quarter, our focus was centered around the idea of the " seven elements of art." These are line, shape, space, value, form, texture, and color. I kept this in mind with every one I did, as the idea was to have, I believe, one representing each value. For example, when I made "Crater", my drawing about space illusion, I focused on making it look as if this was an image of a dip in the paper, to create an illusion. =Sometimes I would even challenge myself, like when I made my shapes drawing, "Subway". With that one, I challenged myself to use the most basic combination of shapes and to see if I could make something really great with them. With all of them, one thing remained the same, and that was the fact that I always made sure that it lined up with the "art element" that I was trying to learn.
