Ishmael Brown Capstone

My capstone is a combination of a lot of things. I had many discussions leading up into a sort of "grand finale" discussion. These included sit downs with teachers, sit downs with students, and sit downs with some of the most politically inclined people that I could find in my own life. Everyday I went out and seeked to close the gap in between myself and the world of politics, while, sometimes annoyingly, educating my peers. The last discussion took the form of a presentation to all of my classmates in my block for my history class, which was mostly a success, outside of a few minor things. To give it a place to live, I gave it a website, which I got the idea to also equip with a specialized central for people, who may not be so informed, to slowly be able to catch up in their understanding, which I was very careful with putting together. The name was made up as if to be an official news outlet, and is, in part, a reincarnation of an early version of this idea of raising awareness for politics that I had. This was a very fun project, would do again. http://ggurunews.weebly.com/ Annotated Bibliography https://www.census.gov/population/socdemo/voting/SB91-23.pdf "The Decline in American Voter Turnout."
