Inverness Fashion Week
Our creative project for quarter two, Ms.Giknis class features a new 2018 catalogue inspired by the book Macbeth. In our catalogue we will be featuring both a Macbeth clothing line and a Lady Macbeth beauty line. Each have their own items that connect back to the concepts and details from the book. All items are available for purchase from the website Tristan and I put together(sn you though). Apon looking at the ideas provided for this proton the description doc we wanted to do something cool, something no one else was doing, that would grab our peers attention(and the attention of our customers)…. We wanted to put on a fashion show. Pretty nice, am I right? I’m not sure how we came to the idea of doing a fashion show but once we had it we knew that was as creative as we were gonna get. So we stuck with it.
Although that was only the presentation part of the project. We still needed something to actually turn in. Carol had the idea of putting the catalog on a google site, which was a great idea. So it was easy enough to throw some pictures together on the site and then give them a description which somehow connects to the play. This is what we did in the website, which you can get to by clicking here. We think many of our costumes will be excited to hear that this year for our Macbeth inspired clothing and beauty line we have parted with both Gucci and MAC cosmetics. For our presentation tomorrow we will present our website and at the end Tristan Dini will model of winter collection to our audience.
The items listed below are what we will be selling in this year's catalogue. You might see a recurring theme when seeing this year's items, this is because we really wanted to focus on themes that come up a lot in the play, for Macbeth we chose to stick with the blood theme. Along with the brand name of tyrant. Both connect back to the book very easily and make the products perfect for this years catalog.
Red gloves ,Tyrant Jacket All of Neptune's Oceans (cologne), What You Egg?! Shirt, Snakeskin belt with crown belt buckle, Tyrant hoodie, and Wingtip shoes (all prices are posted on our website.) For our Lady Macbeth beauty line we decided to focus on blood too but also how she had trouble with sleep throughout the book. The items listed below are in this year's winter catalogue. Arabian perfume, Red nail polish, Sleeping mask, Makeup brushes (in the shape of candles), Red lipstick, and a Choker in the shape of a dagger(all item prices are found in our website.)
