Emerson Melchor-Marroquin Capstone

For my senior capstone, I created a website called Achieve. The purpose of this website is to help athletes who are struggling with mental health or just need a little help and guidance to achieve their goals. They have inspirational quotes on the front page, then a journaling setting in the second tab, in the third tab their is an XP unlocking feature, and for my final tab, it’s a tab that helps you make up a plan to achieve a goal. If you feel confused or aren’t sure where to begin, this tab creates checkpoints to help you start on the goal. The process of making this website began by finding a problem and creating something to help solve it. Once I settled on it, I started researching quotes, what helped athletes the most, and why mental health is one of the most common issues for athletes’ downfall. Once I completed all the research part, I shifted to learning how to code and searched for videos on how to code. After getting a good understanding of how to code, I started the rough draft of the website and asked my peers, teachers, and mentor for feedback. After receiving all the feedback, I made sure to incorporate all the feedback into my new and polished website.
