They were able to address this scholarship well, connecting it to the author's death which was interesting. Something that I enjoyed about this production is that everyone had an equal speaking role.

  1. The author's intent was addressed nicely, speaking on the fact that he passed away before letting what the actual intent was. You were able to gather facts and form your own ideas.
  2. The podcast was smooth, everyone was able to speak up on their ideas.

  1. It's really interesting how you tie in Hemingway moving on at one point in his life to the end of the book. With this being his last novel, it's very intriguing that the ending involved characters swimming at the beach, moving on from the devil and going towards the light.
  2. Everyone seemed to talk equally, and the amount of context was just enough so that we could understand the connections they were making.

Author's Intent- You guys did an amazing job of addressing what you thought was the authors intent in writing this novel. with the knowledge that your author was not alive and had never spoke on his intention for the novel. I enjoyed the conversation of his bias, like the fact that Hemingway was/is looked at as a sexist man.

all of you spoke clearly and evenly, making the conversation seem very natural

They addressed how author passed away after releasing this book so he never explained or gave his intent on it but they gave their ideas and they think each thing was. I enjoyed how you explain everything and break it down.

  1. I feel as though you guys did a good job addressing the author's intent even though the book was published after the author's death by talking about the life he lived. I appreciated how you guys talked about his past biases like his sexism or discomfort with gender.
  2. You guys did a good job of letting everyone speak evenly.

  1. They address the author's intent by showing what could be regarded as religious symbolism.
  2. What I liked about the production is that everyone was able to participate a good amount.
