  1. I learned about the context of the book and about some of the symbolism behind certain objects. I also learned about the connections of the book to the outside world, such as the Garden of Eden.
  2. I really enjoyed the mix of questions and themes brought up, as well as how you interpret everything.

  1. I was able to learn about the author and symbolism of the book. Contrasting it to sections of the Bible and mentioning what the meaning of it could be.

  2. I like the flow of the podcast, it's smooth and everyone has a chance to talk. The different opinions on the topics were a nice point as well.

  1. I learned some background information about the book and the author. I also learned some good background information on the characters themselves. I learned that almost all of the story, if not all, had a connection to the outside world. The problems in this story become very clear to me. I also got a very vivid idea of the mindset in the story characters.
  2. I liked how they use logic and deduction to guess what the major themes of the story are. I also liked how they theorized what sections of the story represented different moods and stages of the story. I liked how they sequenced the analysis in an orderly fashion. I liked how changed through the book were spoken about often.

like the intro, upbeat tunes but the upbeat song was kinda demolished by the comment about the author's suicide ngl. There was a lot of information on the book and talk of background info, which was great. Cast had good chemistry and it felt like they've been doing this kind of stuff for a long time prior. Good job ig.

You did a great job introducing the book and the author and had great usage of music at the beginning. You guys were very focused on the symbolism particularly that which related to the bible. There was even a great reference to Hemmingway's affinity for symbolism.

  1. I learned a lot about the symbolism in this book. The symbols in the book go deeper than just it's biblical references. In the podcast, they discuss what it means to be a fisherman and the identity of the Catherine.
  2. I enjoyed the use of upbeat music used to introduce the members of the podcast. I also enjoy how they introduce the author, the book, and how they begin their discussion with the title of the book.
