Calamity Jung-Allen Awarded at Regional Science Fair

Congratulations to SLA 9th grader Calamity Jung-Allen.* Calamity worked with Ms. Dunda and her classmates to design and research a science fair project on behavioral sciences.

Calamity advanced from the local Carver Science Fair two weeks ago to the regional Delaware Valley Science Fair (DVSF). Calamity prepared a research paper, a lab book, and a display board for Day 1 of judging. On Day 2, Calamity interviewed with guest scientists at the Philadelphia Expo Center. Not only did Calamity take second place (among hundreds of students!), she also won the  DVSF Special Jack Mixit Award.

Nice job, Calamity!

* Special thanks to Ms. Beth Allen, Calamity's mom, for chaperoning on the DVSF school bus.
