Artist Statement-

A way I can relate to Trevor, we both felt like we didn’t really belong in school. Since I was the only black school girl in my classroom. Sometimes I felt like I couldn’t share certain things with my peers. I had a lot of friends but they were mostly Asian or Hispanic because my school was populated with those kinds of people. I didn’t tell my friends some things because they wouldn’t understand how I felt as a black person. I take pride in being black Trevor experienced the same thing since he was the only mixed kind in his schools, he just hopped around into different kinds of people. One way to learn from this experience is to know even though things seem uncomfortable at the moment, like loneliness everything will play out at the end.
